"Discard Your Fear" from Riverside's "Love, Fear and the Time Machine" album (2015). So this is basically the third cover of this song on this channel. One of them is private however. This is the infamous song that got me into playing the bass, so I'm somewhat grateful for this song although I don't really like it. So we start off with the great intro riff that requires some flanger effects and some reverb. Repeat it twice and then we move on to the verses. Now, the bass is pretty much hidden in the mix, so it was really difficult to transcribe these parts. I've looked at several live videos and I kinda feel like there is no real riff. Just follow the drums and really get into it. However, you can't transcribe it that way so I went for 4 notes and then some muted notes in a specific order. In the end, it is quite close to the original part. There will be one variation and that's it. The chorus is quite easy, and won't change when you play it for the second time later on. After the second chorus you'll get a very heavy but easy riff that does not change. Now here comes the hardest part of the song. Mariusz sings "discaaaaaard" when it is all quiet, but the bass comes in about a second later then you think. After that it's just the chorus notes again and then the ending. Apart from the verses, it should be no problem learning this one.

Do you know how we can find the backing track (bass track omitted) for these songs that you do?
There are no backing tracks. I just play on top of the original song. I do remove some of the lower frequencies so that my bass gets louder.
