Wow looks like an awesome trip on the Nile. I was in Luxor quite a few years back and loved sailing on the Nile there as well. Would have loved so go more down the Nile. This video brings back many great memories of Egypt culture. Thanks for sharing.
I love the history of the Egypt. Nubian people are so friendly. Thank you for the guide info, I would use him when I get to Egypt for sure. From the video, the camel ride would be my top activity. What was your favorite activity?
Cruising the Nile on a Felucca was one of those..I can't believe I'm really doing this moments, it's pretty special. But, spending the time with the Nubian elder is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Oh...that's so great. You'll love it! We have a bunch of other Egypt videos which you'll probably like plus 2 new ones every week! Where are you going in Egypt?
@@DOUGandNIKI I will be with a tour group tour for 9 days, 3 days in Cario, bus ride to Luxor and 3 days Nile river cruise Aswan Nubian village along with temple tours and hot air balloons. etc. My trip starting in the middle of November. Your videos giving pieces of information that I surely appreciated.
@@patp4403 We did almost the total opposite...Started in Aswan and Traveled to Cairo where we spent 3 days. You will love it. You've got 2 videos a week to look forward too until you leave.
This is awesome. I really want to visit. I rode a camel once, but this is very cool going through a village. Loved seeing all the colorful spices. lol he put one on top of your head! This looks like such a good time.
What an awesome day, so many friendly people around the village! Always the best part of travelling for me. The guys captaining the boat seemed like fun too! Same thing happened with us in China with the photos haha. Amazing to see where the guy grew up, i love how blue the inside of the house is.
This looks like an amazing experience!! Was a bit concerned about the safety in Egypt but it seems like everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Riding the camel would definitely be a highlight! The market place looks very colorful! Lunch at the Captain's home is definitely an authentic experience.. The food looked delicious and it was so nice of then to give you a tour of the island.. The crocs were definitely very cute! Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience!
Those kids singing on the boat...made me think for the first time that no matter the language barrier music notes are the same and even though I didn't understand the words in their language I knew the song. Interesting. The camels look so great decked out in their colorful blankets. Haha, hump day ;p Your famous Niki :) How nice to have dinner in the locals home. What a special experience! Those baby crocodiles...so cool. Hope it didn't poop in your hair ;p Everyone seemed so kind and welcoming.
Those kids on the boat while adorable were singing tunes we know as part of their marketing ploy. On some level sad that kids are paddling out to boats singing and begging but at the same time they are being industrious and working, plus its adorable! Hump day would be a Doug edit 😉😉. Luckily the Croc was on empty when he was hanging out in her hair.
It's nice to get away from the usual tourist places and visit an actual village and have a meal in a person's home! How long was the camel ride? It looks like a wonderful place to explore! Thanks for the travelogue!
Thanks, it was an amazing experience. That camel ride wasn't terribly long but it was fun. We actually went on three other Camel rides during this trip.
We actually asked and got kind of a muddled answer. It seems like the fishermen catch them as a byproduct while fishing but then we didn't understand why they kept them or what they were going to do with them.
Hello. I love your Egyptian videos. Please share with me the information about how who arranged the Flaucca ride and village tour with the owner of the flaucca. What a wonderful experience. Thanks.

Unfortunately we kind of lost touch with him so we can't connect you anymore. But... do a little bit of research I'm 100% sure you'll find an amazing guide. When are you going?
Wow! This was an incredible experience to visit a Nubian village! How was the meal he prepared for you all? Everyone seemed to be so friendly which is awesome! Even the baby crocodiles lol. I would not have touched them still.
What is the juice of the Nile? Looks like a tasty lunch; what did the soup taste like? I don't think I would want crocodile hair, even if it is a baby, hahaha. We are from FL; we don't mess around with their kind!
Looks like you had a really good welcome in the village, although I'm not too sure about sticking a crocodile on the head. How busy was Egypt as many people from the UK still seem to be staying away?
Egypt is empty and starving (for tourists). It's actual a legit cheap place to travel as a result. Our experience was beyond phenomenal, the people are amazing, it's sad that there has been so little stability there and that is holding the country back.
Thanks so much! The culture was amazing, the Egyptian people were some of the nicest people we met.
