Girl Love that you are honest I just did a client the other day and they started locs I did 2 strand twists because the coil method be hard for me, so I give you credit! And it came out very nice for the first time! Love it!
Great Job! I'm getting ready to start my loc journey and I've watched several UA-cam videos on how to start, starter locs, but THIS has been THE MOST thorough /detailed helpfull video thus far. I LOVE how you invited us into your thought process (Very Helpful). It came out Fantastic. I was going to attempt trying comb coils but after seeing this, I'll go with the finger coils also (thanks for the heads up).
Just bumped into your channel. Been months I've been searching for someone who'd have a similar journey to mine. Tomorrow, I'mma be five months in. I've started them myself. Couldnt handle the comb coils so I did the finger coils instead. Like everything almost went exactly as on this video, lol. Felt like witnessing myself. Plus, my hair texture is similar, if not exact, to his, same length and thickness, and ended up with the same look approximatively. Just didnt use any gel, and still doesnt, so mine looked a little more fuzzy and a little less neat. We might even be as around the same age; okay, now, I'm starting to sound creepy. Just hella excited to have found the alter ego of my locs journey. You did sooo great, and it was so entertaining to watch. Can't to see how it all goes!
I needed this, I’m growing my hair back out but my head basically looks exactly like this. & sometimes I get sores too after too much tension + the thick flaking it’s ridiculous. I’m gonna check out your page more bc as much as I want to try locs I wouldn’t know how to maintain with the scalp issues
I'm 6yrs loc'd now and I started with finger coils, the comb didn't work for me. It'll get easier as time goes by though. I self-maintained for the first couple of years but I get them done now. I love mine!
My son has this same scalp issue. I am so worried about his loc journey we started 2 months ago. I need to wash it more bc I don’t like seeing d buildup, in which I’m continuously retwisting some. We hv done d ACV twice now n it’s helping. I wish we could get rid of this crap, ugh!
wow, you sound like me, I be saying this same convo to myself, its a work in progress, still struggling, getting it done. Im almost 2 months and I have made so much mistakes, Im leaving to leave it alone, still work in progress. look awesome sauce
Your son hair looks good to me for it being your first time doing comb curls and I got a lot of thick curly hair as well takes me a long time to do it by the time I finish doing it I got a workout with my arms from it lol 😂 😊👍
Look into yannie the locologist. I’m trying to start my loc journey now by giving myself Info and watching more videos before I actually try them but I think you will like her
Tamils theirs a man on UA-cam by the name Of Damian Walters and he's very good at doing Locs and he does give recommendations on what he uses to coil the hair and the products that he uses.
@@ah-ss7he dnt worry about neatness. That's 1 thing I hate. Locs gotta do what they gotta do. The parts can be clean but dnt worry about super neat locs. Thst moe manipulation on the hair n they can fall out. Drink water n eat healthy
Is he keeping it wrapped? Also I learned that a little spritz helps.... Box parting helps keep the parts neat when retwisting.. It's important the ends are sealed..
It’s wild listening to you speak.. your inner dialogue is a mix of your ego and Higherself.. example EGO says it’s a struggle not that good at this .. not my best..not doing again ..I suck etc.. Your higherself comes and says this is your first time it’s okay 👌🏽you got this keep going.. You can do hair you got this .. Ego said NOT!
“it’s my loc journey, it had to be how i wanted it, i had to take them down” .....is anyone else dropping their jaw at this ?? it seemed like she’s making decisions about his hair for him... no one needs to be happy about their locs except the client, he has to live with them-it’s HIS journey. anyway best wishes to this young man
She clearly said he likes the different styles you can wear with locs and the first way she parted his locs it would be hard for her to do the styles thats why she redid them.
My son's hair is super thick like that!! Our black kings' crowns have been adorned with beauty and fullness
wow :’) what a lovely comment omg!!!!!
I just got my dreads 3 hours ago I’m wearing a Durag to sleep
@@jordanwalker3051Great job! Always use something while sleeping to prevent breakage 🙋🏽♀️
i’m sooo glad you stared over and parted his hair correctly
My cousin started my starter locs yesterday and he locked them separate but 2 strand twisted them together after so they would be tight
You Did a great job on His Locs
Thank you!
Thank you for this! My husband wants to start locs and he struggles with scalp issues as well, I’m gonna try that scrub on him!

What beautiful hair! It's like watching a magic show where his hair goes from pretty to beautiful to gorgeous!
About to start my loc journey as well and after seeing this video I’m sure of the size and technique I would like used 🙌🏽☺️

Nice job sis! I will definitely be following his and your journey!
Thank you ☺️
You did that girl
You did flawless on his locs.
Your first time you did an amazing job👏👏👏👏
Beautiful results😍....& for the dry ends, find a foam that you like & apply it on the ends as you finger coil them..it will keep the ends moist👌
Thank you very much!

It’s crazy isn’t it. I’m working on solving the issue but it’s a struggle.
Molton Brown shampoo and conditioner, its expensive but you'll see the difference after a month. You can use it everyday if you like
You did a very good job for your first time ❤️❤️
First time hearing about the coconut/sugar scrub, gonna try it on my son n my hair. How much oil n sugar do I put together.
Hi you could coil the roots and twist after easier

Great job
table salt is perfect for dry scalp! I put it in my brothers hair, massaged it in really well and washed it out. He never had that issue again :)
Thank you ☺️
Kiersten London did you use the table salt by itself or with the coconut oil?
Sea salt and water. Spray the scalp. It helps the hair to loc aswell.
So it's that a scalp condition, or was all the flakes just from him not washing/ taking care of his hair? U did an excellent job with that🔥💯
I did it with a Lil oil for some slip and I never had that problem since 2 years ago. Exfoliation works
These look amazing
Did u use heat on his hair??
We need an update on his locks. I want to see what they look like three years later
Love your voiceover keep up the good work, hope you blow up

Let me give u a tip ❤.
If your going to do comb coils, its better using a rat tail comb. Its better then just using a rebukar comb
great job. damiian Walters is great form of resources in Loc.
Lol him looking at google maps I do that too😂
Same

How long did he let his hair grow before starting his loc's?
About 15 months.
Looks great. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you ☺️
Tameka it looks nice I am just wondering did you let it air dry or did you blow dry it once done?
Thanks 😊 I let it air dry.
