If Magus resolves Saga immediately goes to the graveyard as part of the rules of the saga card type. There is a huge difference between a saga in play and one that's in the graveyard.@@sorin_markov
1:53:45 Since he mulled to 4 I think their is merit to holding brainstorm to use on his end step, you’ve already gone through 5 of your 18 lands and your have way more than enough counters to hold control of the game the only way you kind of lose is wasteland So I think in this specific situation it’s appropriate to hold brainstorm to use on his end step skipping the potential Land drop (since u have force and daze x2) But this protects ur land against wasteland so when he shoots ur underground see, u can brainstorm daze return ur land and counter your own brainstorm guaranteeing u keep a land for the next turn (again only since he mulled to 4 so you are super up on cards from the start)
Match 2 game 3 I would favor bolt then surgical the Narcomoeba right away, untap and slam Murktide. Without moebas they need to have 3 creatures in play to combo-off, and with Snuff Out and Pyro in hand you're in great shape to prevent that.
I was trying to work out why that didn't happen, came to the conclusion that he felt safe against that line with all the permissions he had anyway and so urza's saga is actually the only way he loses
34:56 you can float mana for the hydroblast, let magus resolve, then kill it. This way your opponent is left without the saga in play
I'm confused how that does anything different. The opponent can't use Urza's for anything in that window anyway

@@sorin_markovthe presence of magus in play destroys the saga because of the rulings, the Land has no saga counters and Just dies.
Was about to say that, was the correct line

I literally said to myself, watch this lotus petal veil him game 1 after pitching daze as a joke and I couldn’t believe I was right.

No surgical on Doomday? You can remove doomday and shuffle the pile. ;)
@28 mins I kill both welder and the reflection imo, yes it lengthens the clock by 1 turn but doesnt open you up to as many topdecks from them
Descend mechanic is really powerful and it's easy to make broken stuff with it. Be careful wizard! 😂
descend is very similar to revolt
No basic island?
Holy hell do I love some reid duke content
Liked for the cat
