Always good the feeling of opening a sealed box with high quality, not exchanged or open box ,fresh from the factory with the smell electronic components.
I might go to the Dark-Side Luke. Will the force be with me? In jest. I had to read up on these new PSUs and realize it is 12 power pins and 4 data pins that communicate with the GPU? to be more efficient. Many PSU being sold do not have this connector, so I look at pictures to see if it has a 12VHPWR connector (12+4) "A 12VHPWR connector has been designed utilising premium quality materials to deliver up to 600W of power, all from one singular cable. The combination of 12- and 4-pins will not only supply plenty of power to your graphics card but also allow your GPU and PSU to communicate more effectively. Mar 29, 2023 OverclockersUK thank YOU!
The 1000 watt variant is FSP, I'm not sure on the 850 but I assume FSP as well. FSP used to make really top notch power supplies but I'm a bit out of the loop these days.
I do have the Dark Pro 1200w. At the time $499, The most I think I will pay for, for a PSU but I didn't get a chance to use the overclock key. maybe on day. Would you mind doing a video on the Key?
I could do a follow-up as a UA-cam "short" I guess... I was stumped on that as it just combines the 12V rails - I didn't find any great angle to test it. Probably because I'm a novice at PSU testing and don't know what I'm doing.
Can you use it on an old mb with and old gpu? I have a gtx 1060 and a z370 mb with i5 8400. My psu died and i want to buy a new one future proof. Will it work with my 6pin gpu? Just thinking to imvest and keep my psu for a future build
ATX 3.0 is nice but what the world needs is ATX12VO what with the electricity prices in many countries. And surely they are easier to produce with only a single 12v rail? I'm waiting....
I refuse to get a card over like 225W TDP which when I have been looking at it running actual games utilisiing only say 175 Watts, short-term peak. Just learned about MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner, set it up and my RX480/8GB at 1080p only goes to like 90 Watts peak, 1104MB VRAM. I think a 6700XT would be plenty for me. $339-399 Microcenter Tustin. Sapphire Technology AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 49.00 mm wide/1 x 6-pin, 1 x 8-pin : ) Recommended Power Supply 550 Watts I feel this power consumption thing is out of hand, and I am far from a hard-core radical Greenie. I don't need to look at overly-shiny floors/concrete that do not exist in real life, that consume 200 MORE Watts.
I don't like these cables or that the fan doesn't have a fan stop when little power is being used. Still looking for more new 12v-2x6 connector power supplies.
Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply $160 After I got an amazing and quality CPU cooler for $11.99, Thermaltake Gravity i2 95W, Thermaltake can TAKE my money.

And it's even better opening the box alone...in my basement...
Someone has been getting really good at DaVinci Resolve, eh? Great video review (nice style and vibe)!!!
Please keep 'em coming!
Ok, if you insist!
Hollywood's #1 Post Solution !😇
The RTFM made my day haven't laughed like that for awhile thanks.

Great video!!!! Looking forward to seeing more :-)
Interesting product. Great review - high production value!
When it comes to power supplies, I'm always curious, who the OEM is?
Hopefully Seasonic : )

PCIE 5 Nice. I'm on a Haswell Refresh i7 4790/DDR3 😪 so might as well wait for Raptor Lake Refresh (TBA) Intel 7 2023

My card says it is PCIe 3.0 capable and my H81M P33 only will go to 2.0😪
You heard it here first, it’s ridged!
I feel pretty good knowing my CPU+GPU while gaming only consume 150 Watts on peaks.

In this video some guys complain that this model makes loud clicking noise and electric arcing noise ==> ua-cam.com/video/LruLh1cJrDc/v-deo.html
you missed a chance to say "not ribbed"
Dang it.
