What's disturbing about Gacy is if you watch him in interviews, you can see how he was able to fool SO many young men. He had that sweet uncle disposition, very similar to the witch having a ginger bread house in the forest!

we lived in Des Plaines during that time and i could have been one of Gacy's victims i was a few yrs younger than most of them. the thing that shocks people is when i tell them that my Dad was friends with one of the cops that caught him. his first name was Wally but i don't know what his last name was. anyway, my Dad used to do autobody work on cars in our Garage my Dad taught Gacy victim Robert Piest how to do autobody work.. its a small scary world, even back then. may all of Gacy's victim's RIP🙏🙏🙏

I don't know where you're getting this footage, Carol, but please keep it coming. So interesting. It's incredibly creepy listening to neighbor talk about how he saw the big hole for a barbeque pit and thought it was weird it was so deep. That's where one of the poor victims was found. To think of that scumbag inviting the entire neighborhood to a party, then laughing to himself, while they ate food from a grill over which a young man lay buried. Then, to think of the families suffering such incredible loss and confusion, searching for their loved ones, wondering where they were. It's hard to believe monsters like this exist, but Carol knows first hand. Thank God she survived her encounter.

The neighbor is a perfect example of a Hardworking Chicago family man. Back then the Northside and Chicago as a whole was tight knit . You knew your neighbors they were family. They helped you and you helped them no questions asked. Good salt of the earth blue collar people. Everyone looked after each others kids . You fed them bandaged a knee if needed told them to go home when the street l8ghts came on. After December 21st 1978 it began to change. The good hearted samaritan Chicago born still does exist but it is not the same sadly Gacy killed more than the boys .

Of everything I've ever heard, this one takes the cake. How in the hell didn't anyone suspect or say anything? No one wants to get involved...the next door neighbors house to the right is SO close you could almost lean out of Gacy's window and touch the damn thing. He might not have been the only creep living in that area. He was a known swinger, party thrower, "great neighbor." I truly believe, along with many others, that there are more bodies in the yard at Miami and Elston. They did a half assembly dig years ago not even close to where a detective found him outside very late one night digging. The cops told their own detective " we don't want no more bodies." See the series on Peacock..Best overall treatment of this I've seen. 👌

That was typical of Chicago at the time . European good people who were proud of just buying their 1st home. Loved their neighborhood and knew their neighbors. Everyone looked out for each other. It was a beautiful place back then. Sad that it came to an end. Gacy fooled many. Even the secret service. I do believe that he had a split personality and a good as well as evil side . Gacy should have been studied more . Maybe if he had we could have stopped Dahmer sooner .
