I have my cylinder head off currently. I needed a new cam so I bought one, I know it’s the correct part, how ever say I bring the cam shaft to the peak position, I am unable to adjust the valve it is so tight I can loosen the rockers all the way out and the rocker arms are resting on the valve spring. All correct parts but I can adjust, what am I doing wrong?
hey man I have a 1997 Polaris sportsman 500 and it backfires and boggs I've replace the timing chain, the cam shaft the starter and the carb. do you have any idea on what it can be. I posted a video on my youtube on how it sounds if you can check it out that be awesome.

can also rotate till one valve is all the way down/open and adjust the other
Yes but due to overlap, you KNOW you're on baseline of cam at TDC
