Magnetic Stop Block

  • Everyone needs a stop block that is independent from your table saw fence. I made one out of a speaker magnet.
    I needed one because I made a wedgie sled for segmented turning, and I had precision wedges made by Dave Gatton at Gatton CNC. Links to this awesome guy are below. Check him out.

    Nice! Think about adding some Dycem (thin non-slip material)to the bottom. That will really reduce the likelihood of slippage and help protect the cast iron surface.

      I like that. I looked around my shop for something that would work for that purpose, but couldn't find anything. I'll check it out.

    You could always use your fence to square it up :)

    Did you make a sled for each angle. Great idea on the stop block.
