hitting L and R on controller in super bowling you can adjust your aim down at the pins further, it moves the orange arrow above the pins... as well you can move around while adjusting spin and power if you want to do a last minute adjust.

Super Bowling on SNES was awesome! I logged way too many hours with my cousin playing that game. We were always messing around trying to do trick shots and even figured out a foolproof technique to always bowl a 300. Looking back it was a very simple game, but in those days that worked.
I have played this game since it came out in 1992. It is one of my favorite snes games to play as it is relaxing. Easy strikes tip: choose Pete as your bowler, select 16 lbs. As your ball weight. Select normal mode. Select 1/2 length oil. When the game starts, move Pete all the way to the right. Next, use the L button to set the red aim arrow all the to the left. Then comes the A button taps, you want the ball to stop full left on the spin and with the bars fully apart on the power. (Max left spin + max power) if you did it right, you should get a strike every time. I have gotten many 300 games abusing this method.

Honestly Super bowling sounds like it might be almost as fun as when I used to play Wii sports bowling with my friends and family back when that was new. Heck actually when the Wii U came out we stopped playing Wii U to play some Wii sports bowling because it was still fun and honestly you would still be fun to this day but I haven't actually had my Wii and my possession for quite some time I think it's in my storage unit. This is coming from somebody who grew up in the SNES and N64 era but it's just awesome to see that the SNES actually had a bowling game like Super bowling
This video made me check who started at point for the Sonics in 1981. In case you're curious, it was Gus Williams, a mostly forgotten but actually solid baller .
The only bowling game I play kind of frequently is the bowling mini game on super monkeyball 2, it's great and it actually looks kind of similar on gameplay to super bowling, so I might give it a try if I find it for cheap in the wild.

I had to stop playing after going strike for strike in a tournament match against an AI opponent. I finished with 299, they finished with 300. I don't believe it has rubber-band mechanics as I've also had matches where I played poorly and the AI somehow played worse, but there was no moving forward after a near perfect game and still losing. Super Bowling is fun for what it is.
I think i remember being able to cheese strikes every throw in Super Bowling. Aim all the way to the left, max spin to the right, go for power, strike everytime
Super Bowling was a game I bought for 5 dollars at my local retro store to replace out the back plastic and sticker of a more expensive title. Boy! Was I surprised at how good this game actually is. Or instead of a second Woody Harrelson, it could just have The Bowler from Mystery Men, complete with her father's skull inside the bowling ball.
I don't remember a bowling game on SNES when I was a kid, but that was probably a good thing because going to the bowling alley with friends and families always made for a good time back in the day... I am too young to feel this old haha

Hmmm... it's like you said: golf mode does sound fun. This is gonna sound harsh towards bowling, but in all sincerity you would need to mix in external and fantasy elements to keep things interesting for more than a round or two. Golf has many different hole layouts that feature water hazards, trees, sand traps, wind, weather, rough, fairways, hills, pits, and out-of-bounds areas, different types of clubs, golfers, and maybe closest to the pin & longest drive contests, too. There are also greens that have terrain that is crazy enough to feel like mini-golf, and the different distances to the pin allow for different stroke counts for making par. Bowling always has the same lane with 10 pins at the end. Your variance is limited to ball types, oiliness, pin weight, and bowlers' attributes without adding external elements (though I guess black light bowling and decorations can help change things up a little). The fun factor for bowling is almost entirely based on competing with opponents and friends. I'd say the golf games should have bowling mini games, if anything. 😂
Starting the Work from Home day right with a lil Snes Drunk!
Super Bowling reminds me of another bowling game for the arcade, Bowling League I think it's called, for Neo Geo arcade cabinets
Great review!
I agree super bowling is a really good bowling game produced and I've enjoyed it ever since I was young
It workloading but if you're looking to buy a copy you may want to look into the super family conversion cuz last time I checked it was significantly cheaper than the American version
When I bought my copy for super Panda comment in less than $10 now it's been a few years since that was the case but I would say it's probably still reasonable
Thank you for your content and I hope you're having a good day
God bless you and your family
God bless you

First game kinda looks like League Bowling on the Neo Geo, thumbs up
The only bad thing about Super Bowling is that in they removed all the funny animated reactions of the characters it had on the japanese version.
❤great review
Donny, you’re out of your element!!
Hell yeah!
I love Super Bowling, and my buddy has (I think he still has it?) the world record for the fastest 300 in the Turkey Bowl mode!
You should play Squash, an arcade game by Gaelcom from 1992. It's definately one of the best sports games for arcade. And the only squash game I know.
The only bowling game I played was the Tekken Tag bowling :D
What a nice pixelart has Super Bowling.
If Super Bowling were an indie game made today that chicken would never stop spouting off 2005-era Adult Swim non-sequitors and it'd STILL somehow be a love letter to Metroidvanias.
Super Monkey Ball 2 for the Nintendo Gamecube was another good fun bowling game that played very similar to Super Bowling for the SNES, just with better graphics.
I remember renting super bowling as a kid a few times. Fun game, but I stopped playing it after getting 3 straight 300 games. Once you figure it out, that's it.
