“Here’s my clean tone”
*plays amp crunchier that a fresh bag of pork-rinds*
I crying laughing. Beautiful comment.
That is how orange describes clean tones. :)
Came to comment on the supposed cleans. Read better than anything I was thinking.
It's just a hot pickup :)
A clean tone doesn’t have to be CLEAN, it can be dirty, its your CLEAN tone, not a clean sound, but your clean tone, your clean can be whatever you want. Plus yeah its an orange amp, they don’t know what a clean sound is lol
Cheapest guitar, cheapest amp, cheapest pedals, recorded with the cheapest interface and monitors and mixed/mastered in Audacity with only stock plugins?
Magnus Timbre fuck yeah
Magnus Timbre yo does Audacity even have stock plugins?
Clay Ingold It does
In a cheap house
Mixed by a cheap slu.. Woman
I think that whoever built these pedals has a good sense of humor for mocking the whole mxr phase90 script logo hype.
7:15 Clean Tone Mafia Requests your location
I second that, definately not clean!!!!
@@daledunlop1161 Who gives a fuck.
@@DerrickRG Quite many people does give indeed
@@DerrickRG anybody who wants to actually hear what a guitar/pickup/pedal sounds like through an unaffected clean signal. He has the same crunch tone for even his serious gear reviews and it's annoying as hell
If you're testing shit on that amp it's basically impossible to show a "clean" tone. Pedal demo's on anything other than a clean ass fender twin or the like are just not gonna be objective :/
Always makes me laugh when fluff pulls the “no. Because I don’t want to” card😂
“I’m on the clean channel” .... he’s just trolling us isn’t he?
“No. I don’t want to. I don’t have to.” Cracking me up man, I loved this.
This is a totally giggable board for like $125 bucks. What can I say, I'm impressed, I build pedals and I can't even make them for that cheap. Forget trying to sell them for $25. Budget gear has improved by light years since I started playing. (I'm old)
And conversely, I tried loads of 'boutique' expensive pedals and good old ones sound just as good most the time.
I have an opinion many musical equipment companies are robbing consumers blind, and are making serious profits off of things made for cheap
@@someirishguy1662 More fact than opinion. "Cheap" gear is catching up drastically in terms of quality and I feel like more and more people are realizing that the more recognizable brands are trying to sell you the same stuff at a 500% markup. But at the same time many people are willing to pay more for perceived higher quality/status.
Thays because you, unlike Wish, can't abuse slave labor to lower prices
@@gabrieldotterweich7388 the reason respectable companies cost so much more is because respectable companies dint use slaves, like Behringer and Co do
Good call on using a pro ax/amp setup. If they sound good on a good setup, they sound good, if they sound shitty on a crappy rig, you don't know if it's the guitar, the amp or the pedal that sucks.
60 Cycle Hum has been making afford-a-boards out of cheap pedals. This is a good companion to those vids.
Those boards sound pretty damn good as well.
The only thing is....Ryan Burke is a TERRIBLE guitarist. Well, that...and he isn't a gigging musician...nor, does he have any clue what he is talking about (which makes him extremely annoying, and less relevant for those seeking a professional review). I'm always amazed that he is even relevant. Has to be that damn good name, for a gear review channel... His success is akin to that of Honey Boo Boo... It is based on the idiocy of the general masses.
@@joshuaquery6382 I agree. He seems like a nice guy but he manages to get the WORST tone possible from anything he touches(I.e. He loves the horrible velcro rip fuzz from the cuvave.) all while seemingly missing the concept of the general consensus and instead of building a board that is an all around general board he builds it to be weird as shit and suited to like 10 seconds of some obscure song that he'll never play live anyway. Never take board building advice from a non gigging guitarist. Dude's got his head up his ass and I'm thankful that fluff is getting into the cheap pedals.
@@williamlockhart8420 lol the guy plays surf music. All you guys are really weirdly angry. Like just don't watch his content? Lol instead your in a youtuber's comments belly-aching about another youtuber.... Jesus Christ guys...
@@williamlockhart8420 I don't know where you got the idea that I'm a non gigging guitarist, lol. I do like weird stuff tho.
The only one I hate was that Fuzz, the others surprised me
The fuzz almost sounds like a busted speaker on one of the settings lol
I came here to say this. I thought the fuzz was plain awful.
I wish he played around with the tone a bit more, only cause I've been interested in a fuzzface 60's psychedelic style fuzz pedal and I think that could be something I'd get just to try it. From what I've seen it seems like some people love fuzz and other people hate it, and then within the people that like fuzz they only like certain kinds and hate other's
@@milessmith6611 buy a double muff by ehx. You're welcome
Codes ENT I remember being absolutely blown away by the fuzz in 60 cycle hums vid, strange that it sucks here
Now do a Dragged Under gig with this board!
now that's a real challenge!
Boutique Pedal builders hate this trick... :D
in my honest opinion it’s all about an amp that has great headroom. many of these cheap pedals are clones of Boss or EHX pedals etc.
I was just looking at the pedal selection at wish.com and they have some neat and very affordable stuff. Somebody is selling Klon Centaur clones and there is a custom Tube Screamer clone.
Captain Freedom i have the klon, screamer and ocd clones. My board has 17 of these cheap ass pedals.
people don't realise the effect of getting good speakers either.. I wired up a 12 inch Celestion to my little practice Marshall MG 15 watter and it sounds incredible..
But much cheaper 😉
When does a pedal stop being “good for the price” and just become “good”
At $50
I have $30 pedals that are good. My main delay is an Ibanez DE7. I have delays that are 2 times as much. I like that one best.
@@davidkastin4240 after longevity!
I've never heard "good for price" anywhere but the internet every musician I know irl just says, its good, or its shit. There's 30 buck pieces of gold out there and 200 dollar pieces of shit when it comes to pedals in my opinion, it can really go either way. I know someone who has a vintage tube screamer that he spent a couple hundred on and to me it sounds exactly the same as the Electro Harmonix clone I got used for 40 bucks
Roy Waren josh from JHS pedals compared a Behringer TS808 Clone with a vintage black label tube screamer and concluded they were identical.
I bought one and sure enough it's awesome.
That's awesome! So If I order the same set up from Wish today, I can probably have this pedalboard ready to roll by the time bands start gigging again next Fall 2021
Don't support slavery please. Buy pedals made in a first world country
its now Fall 2021 and I still havent received my order from Wish
@@MrAlecksTv What's it been like 8 months?
I love it when commenters come back and give updates. How long did it take to get them in the end?
All pedals on sounded like that drunk Michael Anthony bass solo where he runs around wearing a cape and chugging a bottle of jack.
10:37 Albatross😁
If you don't mind plastic housings, Behringer makes some interesting clones for hella cheap. I listen to a lot of death metal/grindcore, and have been hunting for a Boss HM-2. Most of them fetch a CAD $250+ price range on Reverb. I found the Behringer HM-300 for like CAD $25 and can barely hear a difference.
If you didn't know, TC is now owned by behringer and make non-plastic versions and variations of all good behringer pedals for just a bit more money. They have 3 different hm-2 clones including one literally called the Eyemaster.
@@noname-ng6sj which are the other two clones?
Oh yeah. I’ve done this! Big fan of budget pedals
I like the way of your demonstration... simply, not so much chat, just plug & play! Also sound intro is my fav... you rules man
I was surprised by how good these sounded. In love with that Ducking Reverb.
I like that you decided to go with "COO-VA-VEY" to make it sound exotic instead of just boring ol' "CUE-VAYVE" lol
I’d love to hear that reverb in the effects loop dude!
Note writtent a 13:00 : I can tell the delay is based on a Deep Blue Delay, PT2399 internal chip based. Love how the repeats are very "lo-fi" and degrades even more after a few repeats, with very few highs and lows, sounds very dirty and analog, and very simple and sturdy construction.
I've got a few of the smaller inexpensive pedals and they're a lot of fun. My favorite is the Donner Noise Killer noise gate. Most of these pedals are made in the same Chinese factory and rebranded by several companies. Donner, Mooer, Tom's Engineering, etc... Someone on UA-cam disassembled them and found the guts to be the same, just different painted housing. It doesn't matter as long as they work. The other question is would you gig with them. I would. I'm not a pedal snob.
Thank you fluff for exploring into the mini pedal market! I have two mini donner pedals (chorus and delay) and they are fantastic, the rest of my rig is full size. I think for cheap pedals, donner is the leader.
This is a really good video. Great job!
And now, as with 60 Cycle Hum, these pedals will see the prices skyrocket and then disappear from stock.
im sure they are making more right now. CÜVAVÉ is sending me the full line up soon so I'm assuming they are making more anyways.
@@60CycleHumcast glad to hear that
“The only thing left to do is turn all of them on!” I think you are my spirit animal!
That first note after you switched em all on at once, is pretty much my starting point for a good brutal doom tone. Brutal!
I am going to say this, I have been buying up some of the Joyo pedals, and I am completely impressed with them. It took me some tweeking to get the sound dialed in right to my amp, I had other guitarist I jam with looking at my pedal board wondering how I get my overdrives and distortions and they were thrown back thinking I was using either TC Electronic, pigtronix, or MXR. I was iffy when I was given the Joyo Crunch Distortion pedal. But the metal house and once I dialed into something I liked I have no regrets. Also it is easy on the wallet.
Still you’ve gotta do a mix using the cheapest gear
Rowin actually makes hella good pedals which suprised me when I ordered a few
I have a few cheapy pedals that sound great...but the catch is usually either a little extra noise/hum, or the switch pop. Noise suppressor helps that. Mooer makes some great stuff.
I loved this video! Thank you!
YOUR TONES ARE CLEAN AF!!!!
Awesome vid as always
That octave and fuzz together are what guitars sound like on JamKazam.
I love that Rockerverb.🤘🏼
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
60 cycle him has been doing these videos for months
9:30 AC/DC tone! 🤘
This actually sounds really good.
Extras respect point for playing the Riff from Albatross!
I agree with using the gear you want to use to a point, but the "real world" application for these pedals is like on someone's first board. Possibly someone without much money to spend on gear
sound great, do you have a high cut? I have a Valeton dapper that cuts the highs to about 4k I think, lame.
Sounds good, kudos to the high end gear but the inexpensive pedals don’t sound cheap. I like it
Awesome video! do cheapest multi effects unit next!
Honestly, a suggestion for a future video. Cheapest guitar tuners on wish.
I built a board off all cheap mini pedals for live shows, and gigging for a bit. Mainly for house shows and shows I knew would get rowdy. Lol
“No. I don’t want to, and I don’t have to.”
I knew I liked you for a reason 😂
Build a pedalboard out of clone pedals and do a side-by-side comparison with a pedalboard of the real McCoys.
That's something that Josh from JHS would do! In fact, he aready did it with Behringer pedals.
Suscribe to JHs pedals he does that often
16:36 sounds straight up like a Sunn O))) record lol
I noticed several Chinese-made brands of pedals on Aliexpress have similar names and identical color schemes. "US Dream" is a pink mini pedal with identical controls from the brands: JOYO, Naomi, Kmise, Saphue, and unbranded. There are two case styles, the molded Joyo one and a generic metal box used by many others. I suspect they're all the same circuit. And the aluminum box one is potentially all made in the same factory and labeled with whatever brand you'd like.
When I was in electronics class (many, many years ago) we could build a lot of classic pedals of the 80's (and some 90's) with some off-the-shelf components on a breadboard to try it out. Some classic pedals require components that aren't made anymore to be identical. Some can be made pretty darn close with some simple substitution, especially if you hand pick parts from a bin (like measuring the Alpha of a transistor, something a decent volt-meter can do)
I've a few joyo pedals (which are now a Harley Benton brand) and they're suprisingly good.
I actually have cheap Mooer octaver pedal and its surprisingly good! I mean its really nice POG-style staff.
Does wish have 100W tube amps? 😄
It probably does haha
This is awesome!!!
"Let's turn all of them on."
Now I know what nuclear winter sounds like... ;)
Fluff coming in hot at 4:10 haha. Love it
I'm still using my Nux overdrive i got off Wish for 20 bucks like 3 years ago. Does what i need it to do, i have no complaints about its performance. Are there better pedals out there? Fuck yea. For the price? I'd like to hear other $20 ODs sound this good. Even handles bass rather nicely. These cheap pedals are perfect for bedroom rockers, but some of them actually do really well at stage levels.
My early guitar playing "career" would have been very different if there had been $20 pedals like this in the mid 90s. I would have also been way more broke than I was.
But those would have cost like 5 bucks each in the 90s lol
I love these micro pedals. mooer is my favorite! They sound just like the originals, but boy are they fragile!
David Robinson how long is their life expectancy?
I thought the switch on the phaser would be for feedback. But it sounds like its a 2 stage/4 stage switch. Could be a good alternative to the Phase 95 👍
It blows my mind how few 2 stage phasors there are out there!
Did you put the reverb and delay in the loop or in the front? Surprised how good they sound!
I think you should look into the Behringer pedals, they run about $24 to $30. I have the Vintage Tube Overdrive and love it.
What an original idea! 😬
Fluff looking at 60 cycle him like 👀
The thumbnail made me actually lol
Back when I used to play live I didn't have a pedal board my "cheap" pedal board was a old DigiTech rp50. I played alot of shows on that pedal and it was great for the money and durable
Madness. Almost all of my pedals cost more than this entire selection. That's alarming.
but do they come with the blood of the Chinese children who were forced to make them?
YES!! And if you act now you can get their parents blood tooooooo! Shipping and handling may apply
Dont forget the missing fingers that they pull out of the machines they used to make them!
Oh your TV is made in USA..?
What do they think they typed this comment on?
The Rowin phaser might have been slightly underwhelming with the variety of effect but it did it well. One pedal in their lineup that surprises almost everyone that I know that have tried it is the noise gate. I have a Zuul, Pigtronix Gatekeeper micro , and an EHX Silencer and the Rowin holds it's own. Being that the Rowin pedal is by far the cheapest in that array, that's saying a lot.
Itd be interesting to hear the fuzz, of pedals thru the send n return of the amp
I'm doing the same thing!!! Sofar I have the chorus, delay but I need reverse!
I hoped youd go full funeral doom on us, after you turned all of em on lol that delay and fuzz were interesting! Thanks for the vid.
Damn fluff thanks for doing this,I might being getting reverb & delay pedal coz i cant drop 100 on a digitech.
I think you just found the brown note with all the pedals on !! 😂😂
Ive been looking at that octave pedal for a while. I never expected it to actually work.
The pedals didn't do much for me but that pedalboard you put the pedals on....damn I want that.
Good video dude! I about died when you told everybody to save the crybaby comments about you using your high-end guitar and amp. That’s something I would do! LOL 🤣🤣🤣
I’m only a snob when it comes to reverb. That one doesn’t do it for me, but I’m used to Strymon, Eventide, Neunaber, and my Helix.
Got a Cuvave Phaser off Amazon a while back, Not all that good not all that bad and it has a dummy usb port, at least I think it's unwired
10/10 for Stranglehold with the phaser. Cuvave lmao what a brand name
All the pedals at once sounds like the end of every song in the 90s
Sounds great for a beginner or home guitarist. I'd be terrified to take them to a show though. There's enough troubleshooting on my board with "quality" pedals that have always worked 99% of the time, then crapped out that 1% of time they just let me down.
not a bad bugget pedalboard, keep at it Fluff
What about a best budget starter pack video?
Guitar, pedals and amp.
Keep with the good work!!!
That fuzz gives you the Great Value version of Devil in a Midnight Mass
I can send you a chinese gate which generally works, but.. it boosts the signal at 12-18db. But... it depends what you run after it. I guess its something to do with the resistance. It looks as this Rowin Phaser, but its a Rowin gate. I compared it to ISP and others and... it works. And i did not even need a TS in front of my preamp)
Feel like that Fuzz pedal is something Jack White would use lol
The cheapo-chain! A signal chain that's only made of cheapo pedals found on wish!
cuvave fuzz is amazing!
You got very intense for a second there when you refused to use the cheaper guitar haha they sound dope though for the price, especially the fuzz. Hopefully they do a multi fx/modeller xD
Th e OD, and phaser weren’t bad and at that money I might use them if I were building a board on the cheap. I didn’t care for the fuzz but I’m not a big fuzz guy anyway, same thing with the pitch shift but that is just my preference I don’t use one, don’t own one and have no plans to add one but it did what they are supposed to do. The reverb was not great in my opinion and the delay just kinda sounded like a cheap delay to me.
On a separate subject I am glad your channel popped up in my recommended I’m really enjoying your content, thanks for doing it man.
Might be a cool idea to do a Cheapest Pedal on Wish vs. the $100-$150 tier version of that pedal vs. a boutique version of that pedal
4:10 is one of the best moments in youtube history
My pedalboard is made out of one of those $20 campfire grill plate things. Got 3 rows of 6 pedals.
Maybe you could do it both! Have it in a high end signal chain and in a low end (or common) signal chain. To see the diffrence:) Cheers!
Lol i think you just came up with another genre of metal with all of the pedals being turned on lol you sir are a pioneer hahaha
I like my $100 Zoom G1X. There is a Mooer and a NUX in the same price/feature category.
