- Colorado has introduced House Bill 24-1292 which would not only ban "assault weapons" but goes as far as other firearms that have certain features. With the democrat majority in both the house and senate, the outlook does not look good for the gun community. We also discuss 2 other bills that were recently introduced with an 11% excise tax and required storage in an unattended vehicle. While we talk about all this, we try Michter's Sour Mash Whiskey.

The problem with having your gun locked in a case in the vehicle, is when you have someone who has many stops throughout the day for work. I go to customer house after customer house and there's no practical way way to move around a firearm each and every time in order to have it accessible while I'm in the vehicle. When I leave my vehicle for short periods from 20 min to an hour, my vehicle is locked and the firearm is out of sight.

HB 24-003 “The bill authorizes the Colorado bureau of investigation (bureau) to investigate illegal activity involving firearms statewide. The bill appropriates $1,690,258 to the department of public safety for the bureau to conduct the investigations.”
You guys' hearts are in the right place here and we all appreciate it and the content, but there's a bit of misinformation being left to interpretation here. The one that sticks out to me like a sore thumb is, PLEASE, DO NOT go across state lines and purchase anything and bring it back with you. This is importation and is strictly and explicitly stated as illegal if HB 12-1292.
Will say this that it should go to a vote or on a ballot.
It would pass by a landslide because of the liberal stronghold cities, or they'd simply cheat. Know your enemy.

It's ignorance like this that leads to exactly what we are dealing with now. Instead of any attempt to reach out, there's ridicule and disdain. The smartest thing gun owners could do is setup free range days and gun rentals (pay for ammo) and heavily advertise to liberal areas as an opportunity to *safely* experience what a firearm is. Frame it as a liberal pro-gun outreach. Lack of understanding breeds fear. Gun enthusiasts don't realize that the vast majority of Americans have never handled a real firearm...

Doesn't matter what the technology was back then (1700s). The point was that they wanted people of the to have the same (or better) weapon technology as the enemy at the time (Great Briton), and for the people of any time to have equivalent (or better) arms to address any enemies of those times.
