i agree with summer thing. i dont know but summer is usually the season where i feel down and when it's 100 and over, i can't be outside. my skin absorbs the heat instead of sweating to cool myself.

I feel you on the sugar addiction!!! I've gone no added sugar and only get my sugar from fruits now and it's really helped. Especially since there are so many delicious complex flavors with all the summer fruits out there!! Better than any candy.

I turned 20 this year and I feel like my mindset has changed drastically recently. When you spoke about being "caught between who I am and who I want to be" it made me think of how during my teens I tried to push away my real self and act in ways that was so opposite from myself, I think I wanted to escape from myself somehow. I tried to be as extroverted as I could be. I stopped writing, drawing and reading. I didn't want other people to categorise me as the quiet introverted girl which had been my label for so long. Although I was hurting myself in the process. I still feel stuck between these different versions of myself, my true self and an identity I had created to stray away from the ideas other people had about me. You've been an inspiration to me, seeing you enjoy reading and poetry reminds me a lot of my younger self, a version I now feel closer to and a version I now strive towards again.
This video really found me at the right time. I’m not in my 20s but I just graduated high school and moved for the first time in seven years. This summer, while great, hasn’t been what I imagined and I’m unsure of the future. This video was so comforting. Thank you Romney ❤

oh god, i am right there with you on feeling behind! :( im about to enter my twenties in a couple months i feel sooo behind, especially since i have close friends that are doing things that i don’t do or are doing at this age. i hope these little reminders, this realization that no one has it together digs into our skin and never leaves. everyone has their own path, i guess its just hard to come to terms w it. thanks for giving me the ability to feel seen in this moment 🫶🏾

What does having your life together even mean? I don't think anyone can say. Because change is constant, we're all experiencing things for the first time. We're all new at this, whatever "this" is - a relationship, a job, your 20s, your 30s. Sometimes you get the hang of it, and all of a sudden it changes, or you outgrow it and move on. I am 32 now and I spent my 20s thinking I was an imposter. Someone was going to come along and say "okay show's over, we know you're not really an adult. Go back to your playpen." But my mother, 28 years my senior, said she still doesn't feel like a grown-up. I realized this year that as great as creative streaks are, I don't need to wish my life were "other than" just because the streak is over and art is going to take a little more effort for a while. Streaks return. Sometimes it's time to rest up and consume, find your influences until you process enough to have something of your own to add. When you're stuck in one place, there is always something you can do to make it a little nicer until it's time to move forward again.
