You could fill the spiral inside the spiral with another, unconnected hallway, that way it looks like a huge square but it's actually two spirals 😁 Put turrets and shotgun traps at the corners and make eventual raiders hate their life.
That would be the better move. Make it so there's two spirals that run together, and the obvious entrance is to a second identical layout that makes it less obvious what the interior looks like. Make it multi storied too, with a ladder that leads to another dummy maze for them to get lost in.
better yet, have a secret floor compartment in a random hallway that you close up when you get a raid, so EVEN if they succeed, they get NOTHING.@@kasuraga
Make this base again(but have like more than 1 entrance) with a high wood wall in the gaps so they cant just jump from roof to roof, making it 2 tall would also make them more confused haha. You can alternate the wood walls to have a small gaps where you can still jump from roof to roof and the high wall would serve as cover for both teams
What if you made a maze base as an actual maze instead of a spiral, completely covered from the top so that they can't figure out the internal shape without blowing most of it up, and with as many dead ends and booby trapped doors as you can afford to put in? A gigantic puzzle box maze of a base. If it lasts long enough, maybe you could even stack multiple floors of this on top of each other. It would be extremely discouraging to raid once they start cracking it open and realize what they're dealing with, and interesting to see how people approach it.

Can someone tell to a non-Rust player whether this video is the setup? Like, what is stopping players that he killed near his base grab friends and come trash it to shit as soon as they've been killed and respawn? Or how can he be sure that non of them come there when he goes for more resources?
The cost to raid his base and potentially not find the TC (tool cupboard: the wooden cupboard that gives him exclusive build privilege over the area surrounding it that the base occupies) or potentially any loot is much higher. They either need blind luck or potentially alot of explosives if they want to knock him out completely.
MLRS rockets are still kind of a weakness if they can take your missiles out , but can easily be mitigated by spacing the walls out by 2 spaces instead of one.
You could separate foundations and see which sections start to decay, narrowing the location of the TC by half each time. Still costly, but it would make it possible during a typical offline period of 8hrs.
As unraidable as this seems, if Rust players used their brains, you could find out exactly where the cabinet is by finding out where you lose building privilege and using geometry to find a point of intersection. You can circumvent this by building next to, or on top of a cliff/hill, as building privilege is a sphere, not a cylinder.
this is a similar concept to the original use of a swastika, as a fort design. divide the fort into quarters and have spiralling walls round the outside stemming from each quarter. then if invaders manage to break their way in, they have a long journey round the spiral, while avoiding oncoming fire from archers on top of the walls. then, if successful, they only get a quarter of the loot.
Only thing this base was missing. Was all the hole areas to have roof. People would be confused as shit then put turrets though the accessible maze parts.
