- This is a step by step of replacing a Rinnai heat exchanger non-condensing models. It would be advisable to have a professional do this work for you, but I’m not looking to tell a free person what to do in their own home. Just trying to help #tanklesswaterheater #tankless #rinnai #heatexchanger #fix
Wow thats a lot of work and a lot of things that can go wrong. Respect.
🤜🤛
You legit just made this job look like a cakewalk😂👍🏽👍🏽 my company fully won’t even do a Rinnai heat exchanger change out just because of the hassle and labor. Navien Vesta and others seem to be a lot easier to work on. Rinnai is the devil. Great work soldier
Were Rinnai dealers so we don’t really get a choice. I very rarely work on naviens but from what I know about the setup it would probably be easier
@@Sickkidsentertainment I’d say the navien has about half as many screws lol. Still kinda sucks but you made my worst nightmare look too easy. I need to get on this level.
Im thinking i would probably just replace the heater
Makes good sense to do but its under warranty
Compared to a navien this is torture 😂
😳
Durn what was the difference between just replacing the durn thing
warranty is the reason.
What do you charge for an exchanger I was always on the fence to do this just because of the hassle … I’d replace only 😂
1295 heat exchanger was warrantied by the manufacturer so thats straight labor
@@Sickkidsentertainment that seems low bro
Those engineers are not very good. It is not hard to make thats modular for service. You shouldn't have had to disassemble the whole thing to fix it.
Agreed plenty of boiler manufacturers have figure that out
Memo to self: Never, repeat never, buy a Rinnai water heater... way to complicated for an inferior means to heat water
I personally prefer a tankless to a tank but i have a big family
Just to much.Technology is a good thing and sometimes not such a good thing
