I Don't Struggle with the Question to Keep or Release! I caught another Flathead catfish! Watch this! - Flatheads Bit! Proof is in the Boat! • Flatheads Bit! Proof i...
Good catfish and good eating. You are absolutely correct on the replenishment of catfish. By the way, what bait did you catch him on, if it's not a secret😅. Great video. I'm a fan.
Like your videos, personally I don’t keep any over 10 pounds here in N.C. Eat smaller ones when saving some to eat. Catfishing is getting more and more popular across the country, lots more pressure on them in certain areas. Think of it this way would bass fishermen eat a 10 pound bass? All that being said I believe it’s everybody’s right to keep whatever they want within the law but sometimes we have to help with the conservation because laws are rarely enforced in most areas. Keep bringing the videos 👍🏻
I catch a lot of bluecats in Santee and let bigger ones go (20 lbs and up) and keep 15lb size to fry…but that’s just me. Like you, hoping wildlife departments are keeping a watchful eye on fishery health.
I remember when I was a kid growing up my dad caught one that size. He hung it from a large limb that we called the skinning tree. He left the carcass of what was left of the fish hanging from that limb. I remember it hanging there for several months until nothing was left except for a skeleton of that old flathead. Another fine video once again
I think it's absolutely unsustainable to be harvesting a 31lb flathead. I eat tons of fish, I don't see why you would think it's ok to keep one that big. People don't realize that yeah, flatheads get big, but even then most won't end up living to get past 20. Those big ones are the ones making most eggs and keeping the population up. Do what you want, but don't complain when you start catching less and less.
Anything over 10 lb should be let go. That size and smaller are perfect eaters all the big ones are breeding fish. Do what you want but you can't fix stupid
Love them flatheads.Keep all you want
👍 you do you 😂😂😂
Heck of a catch!
Absolutely keep them and enjoy them! Numbers just keep going up where I’m at.
3 , 10lbs flatheads laying eggs or one at 30 lbs whats the difference .

I eat them, regardless of size. There is no difference in taste, so why not.
