Nikon bhpho.to/3QEK0DO
Nikon bhpho.to/4alqIKt
Viltrox bhpho.to/3URIzV4
Viltrox sent me the lens in exchange for showcasing it on the channel. Although I still feel the lens is a great deal, this is not an endorsement or an ad.
Excellent photographs. You certainly know how to capture the atmosphere at a celebration. Such joy and enthusiasm!
I used the Viltrox 13mm 1.4 on my X-T4 for the northern lights last night (that was spectacular here in the middle of Germany). That lens has a lot of the things you mentioned. It is my favorite lens for my Fuji…
When I want to watch “something, something” educational I tune in onto Omar’s UA-cam channel. Great job, Omar!
Shout out for the " ehhhh...you like! " @ 5.17 🤣😁
When you can tell the video is going to be a banger in the first 3 seconds 😂
Fast wide primes are the best! it also really trains your eye since you are committing to filling the frame!
I just ordered the viltrox yesterday! Excited to try it for some night landscapes and Astro scenes
i’m going tonight with it. the major things are vignette and coma but they aren’t terrible
I just ordered the Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 the other day for my Z9, I can not wait to receive it!
In essence, what you’re saying and I appreciate, is that wide also means depth, even when the background is blurry, as opposed to a tele that compresses depth.
The 20 1.8G is crazy good. ❤
Laugh & learn, classic Omar👍
Hi Omar, I use the Fuji XH2S for my event shooting plus the Nikon Zf for night events. The widest I have right now is 18 mil and was looking around for something wider, but torn between a Nikon lens or Fuji lens. Either way, I think you've given me a few options here to consider. I'm also considering the Sigma 16mm, which is an APS-C but it's 1.8. Oh, we're all so deprived of choices!! Thank you!!
The Viltrox video footage looked great!
I agree!
I used to own the Canon EF 16-35 but never really used it the way I should have. Sold it off and only recently picked up the cheap RF 16 2.8. I'm having a blast with it. I find that the small size is key. Very simple to toss in a bag or pocket which means I have it with me much more often than the larger wide zoom. 16mm on full frame allows you to get very creative.
Congrats on 200k! It's been so fun to watch your growth and see how you have honed your UA-cam craft. Keep up the awesome work.
thank you!!
Charm of wide lens indeed, excellent idea so I took my old Zuiko 28mm f2.8 of the shelf today.
So many choices. Carry on. 👍🥂
Great video. I have the Nikon 20mm f1.8, and the large focus ring is customizable to control aperture on Nikon Z bodies (custom setting menu f2).
Great explainer and CONGRATS on 200k!
Thanks a million!
the charm of that 27 1.2 by viltrox.... specifically
man photography drives me crazy and atm i feel like locked to my current construction profession
Love watching your videos, I learn a lot! Buuuuut, you sure do give me fomo and make me want to switch from Canon! I usually have to go do some digging to see what any equivalents are.
Love the video! You should have a second channel "Professor Omar Explains"
This "charm" is why I'll never sell my 16mm f/1.4 for my Fujis. That aperture and a terrific close focus capability make this lens magic.
Fun and fast review. Thanks, picking one up today.
Omar El Duro!! Great as always. Quick question- have you shot Nikon Z5? I am looking to try full frame and wanted to try something entry level.
I will be an APC user for a longe time... I love to use my sigma 18-35 and my canon ef-s 10-22.... :)
Thanks for the video. Separate question- I’m travelling to Italy next month, looking for a small anti-theft bag to hold my z8 and 24-200 without it screaming come pick pocket me. I’m interested in what you use for your overseas trips. Thank you!
Amazing video. I love my wide angle lenses and their unique perspectives.
The Memory recall button exists also on big Nikon lenses like my 200-400 mm.
I wonder how the Viltrox 16mm 1.8 does vs the Loawa 10mm 0 distortion f2.8
I recently bought a nikkor z 17-28mm 2.8 and I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would because it's not as sharp as I expected so I'm trying to sell it and go for the 20mm 1.8 - any offers?!
What’s your opinion on 17-28 nikon ?
It's literally the same optic as the Tamron.
Another great option. Not fast enough for the “look” but versatile
eeehh i like
Pls try new Laowa 10mm f/2.8 zero-d ff. It's so much fun lens! :)
friendly reminder that the Sigma 24-35mm f/2 Art exists (also the Canon 28-70 f/2 but that lens is more expensive than my car and I wish I was joking)
The fastest wide angle lens I’ve used this year is a 50/1.4😭.
theres some weird jiggly distortion or something, i dont know if thats rolling shutter or what but its interesting
IBIS wobble. Common with most super wides.
@ogonzilla ahh I had that in my head but I wasn't 100% sure
FIRST YEEEEEEAH
Ahhh, number 5 😢
Does anybody have opinions on the Sigma 16mm to share?
Why do you specifically need someone in youtube comments telling you about it (without any way to verify their statements) when there are dozens of reviews online already?
@@fotografalexandernikolis because one of the things about youtube and social media is to exchange opinions between real life users. It adds to the reviews from professionals. But one can also choose to be a smarta$$ like you did
@@andreabeccarisi1126 But we aren't talking about "opinions" if you want information about the objective performance of a lens. You only get that information from tests and reviews where you can see the result. How exactly does unverified words from a random stranger add anything to that? If all reviews say the Sigma 16 1.4 is amazing, but I tell you it's crap but without providing any verification for my statement, what's the point of it?
Thanks for the video. Why don’t you show or at least talk about the Sony 14mm f/1.8 GM if you want a wide prime for full frame? I love mine and use it along with my 20mm f/1.8 G. Take care.
You are so good at event photography and getting that decisive moment. Trying to decide if I should get the 24-70mm f2 Sony when it's released, since I already have the 24-70mm GM II which is my most used lens. The only fast prime I still have is my Sony 50mm f1.4 GM.
I'd say no. The 24-70 is awesome. Pick up the 20mm....cheap light perfect.
Nikon is amateur compared to Fuji, Right?
hmmm, Really
I really love your 20mm event photos. Too bad Canon has every focal length but a 20mm but I just picked up a used 24mm 1.4, can't wait to play with it!
Second :)
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! If your photos are boring do not go closer go wider! 😊
mft, small, light weight and Sharp!
In great light, yes. ;)
@@ogonzilla Love your channel, fun and informative!
Nikon Z lens are 👎🏾, weird size on most , no aperture ring and not much third party option. Thank God for Megadap.
Lack of aperture ring is annoying indeed, but the size is due to them being optically stellar. All the Z 1.8 lenses are among the optically best lenses in existence, don't let the simplistic exterior fool you.
