How to -Crochet Alpine stitch/ Easy baby blanket/ stitch for a cardigan, hat or a scarf

In this tutorial I will show you how to crochet Alpine stitch. This beautiful stitch is easy to make and creates a lovely stitch ideal for cardigans, scarfs and many other projects.
For this project i have used DK yarn, however you can do this simple stitch with any yarn you wish to use and use the recommended size of crochet hook for that yarn.
This video uses US terminology. US single crochet is the same as UK double crochet.
