I miss Nancy so much. Just wish I had found this video sooner before it became obsolete. It would be wonderful if the Missouri Star Quilt Company would consider bringing them back. They look like such fun. I am glad someone is taking over where Nancy left off. I had watched her when she was first on PBS and looked forward to her programs. A very special lady.
Hi Denise Borum, JD, We miss her too. Everyday we do. We will continue to make videos that promote creativity within sewing. Just as Nancy did. Thank you for watching! :)
I grew up in Australia, so I only learnt of Nancy and her teachings through my American friends. Even though I am new it is wonderful to see her legacy continuing and this type of quilt will be one of my first attempts when I start learning in March/April 2018 :)
Hi Mish Young, That is so wonderful to hear! We feel honored to continue on with her legacy and so glad you can see our efforts to do so. I am delighted this video has inspired you! Please share and connect with us (instagram, facebook) and let us know how it is going! #nancysnotions Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :) .-Laura from NN
Kate, thank you so much for this video and I hope you and Nancy's staff will continue her legacy of teaching and inspiring. I really like learning how to use the many templates that Nancy created over the years!
Hi Erin, We are so glad you enjoyed the video! We will continue to make videos which inspire others to sew and create just as Nancy did for all of us! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your lovely comment. :)
Early on, I got my inspiration for sewing from two earlier generations in my family. I remember watching a number of sewing shows on PBS; 'Sewing with Nancy' was one of them (miss you dearly, Nancy). Strip piecing projects have now been added to my line of quilt making. Thanks!
Hi SumogritsforHazel, It is lovely to hear your interest for sewing has come from your family and watching Nancy. We are glad we could inspire you as well! Thank you so much for watching and commenting. :)
Hi Sandra, Thank you for watching and commenting! We are glad you enjoyed the video and want to see more like it! We create new videos each week with the intention of demonstrating a new technique. :)
beautiful, but don't you land up with dark seams to dark seams in some of the configurations making a lot of bulk. In some videos they say to press the seams open for this block. I am a newer quilter and confused, which is the right way. Which will create less bulk. My sewing machine does not like to much bulk, but I don't like pressing seams open
Thank you Kate and all the people at Nancy's Notions for keeping Nancy's dreams alive. Lovely tutorial. I miss you Nancy.
