Back when a trip to EPCOT was like travelling into the future. Man, I was excited to grow up in a world of hovercars, space vacations, and hydrolators. Still waiting for all that to happen...
I appreciated the same. Even if the specifics seemed far fetched, the passionate optimism in everything inspired me to this day. It’s been replaced with flash-in-the-pan here and now thrills with no lasting poignancy. It’s a hard thing to describe to people but, old Epcot aficionados would certainly understand where I’m coming from.
I know this comment was a while ago, but one thing that gives me hope, is how they plan to change Test Track to combine parts of that World of Motion aspect into the beginning of the ride then transition to the "thrill" track part at the end. A best of both worlds - something truly EPCOT.
Eh, Epcot was still good up until around 1996 (and I first visited in 1988). Once the OG “Journey Into Imagination” ride got changed to “Journey Into Your Imagination”, however, was when things went downhill; Just my opinion though.
If they have old school Epcot Center some TLC millennials would love this place. It was rising in popularity before the changes, why not build off of what it’s supposed to be rather fix what’s not broken.
amazing....... it felt amazing. take that one "kid moment" growing up, where you where exposed to something brand new and so mind-blowing that you would happily obsessed over it for a long long time. That was 80s-90s Epcot, but at every single attraction, every time you visited.
@@ridetrackxno lies detected. I'm so grateful for the one trip to Disney World I had as a kid in 1993. EPCOT Center was a big part of it, and I'll never forget it, especially Horizons... that was something special.
It felt like you were a citizen of a futuristic city of hope and wonder. At least for a day, your problems were not so prevalent and you could embrace the idea that “If we can dream it, we can do it” and “ Tomorrow’s horizons are here, today”. It was a tangible fantasy. I really miss it. Horizon’s most of all.
Memories are everlasting and this music of the Epcot of old just harkens for the days of the past for those of us who will never forget those happier times.

Love this old EPCOT music; miss the old park so much. I have a request for anyone that knows this era: The first time I visited EPCOT, back in 1986 or so, there was this "out in the middle of nowhere" restroom that was located sort of between World of Motion and Horizons, but it was more to the center (I can see it on an old map-- not really in any designated area.) Anyway, every time we visited, they were playing the most awesome music there! Very dramatic and futuristic sounding, almost sci-fi adventure stuff. Any chance anyone here knows which music it was?
@@lindasolis7117 The idea of a bathroom with the soundtrack of Body Wars is insane, sounds like a fun time! Ahahah. Although Body Wars opened in 1989, so maybe you might be a little off in the dates.

What I liked the most about innoventions was colortopia it was awesome. I can't wait to see what the new epcot will be like although it will be awhile before I will be able to visit it. This is great recording macro magic.

I really miss the Epcot of old this just brings back so many pleasant memories for me. Simpler times of enjoying all good things of normal everyday living.
Excellent pics with awesome audio! I was shocked about the People Mover plans for Communicore, that would have been amazing. Unfortunately Innoventions was a step down imho.
Only issue---- You have no pictures in here from the original Innoventions except for the Sonic statue. Ah yes ! Original Epcot of the 80's when it was at it's best before that Asshole CEO Michael Eisner destroyed all the rides. I'm sorry that billions of people will never know how good Vintage Epcot was. 🤓

Hard to describe a brand new EPCOT. Purple orange silver and everything smelled so NEW CAR. pure 80's goodness
I really really loved this place.
