Personally, I’m glad this mental Monday is over because I know for a fact we do not agree on worldly events if you know what I mean, but I have your most respect for your fishing ability as I said, before you were one of my favorite fishermen in the late 80s early 90s really enjoy the fishing videos today. Would like to even be able to book a trip and go fishing with you.
I understand your decision Randy, but I am also disappointed to see these segments end. Thank you for spending your energy as long as you did on Mental Monday. Look forward to the return and reboot of this type of content in the future.

Sorry for state of the divisiveness and uninformed part our current society. We have so much potential if we would all work together and listen to all the possibilities that can benefit everyone. Randy, America always needs to be about freedom. Everyone needs to be able to have their views, their beliefs, however- even if any of us do not agree with the other persons' view- the person needs to be free to have that view. Freedom means freedom. For all- or it is not freedom. It is amazing how much billionaire media channels get otherwise decent people to repeat hateful, divisive anti- american bullshit. I help my neighbor, even if I do not agree with them. Good people look to do good to others, to make their surroundings a nicer place. Americans' need to focus on helping their fellow American's, on improving THEIR neighboorhoods. I get it Randy, if I had a fishin' page- I wouldnt' even allow ANY commentery that wasnt directly about fishing; nevermind put my own two cents in about ANY topic outside of fishing.

It's odd to think that the network news, whether it be FOX or CNN, MSNBC, etc., don't shape people's opinions - rather they find a particular market that holds a particular opinion and pander to it, which guarantees them a certain following (revenue source).
I'm not always in the mood for mental monday but its my favorite part of the channel.
I will miss this part of your videos it was the one place I could go to and watch and see there is still some people out there with real facts and common sense thank you Randy for your opinion on mental Monday’s I know in my heart that you stand for what is right!!!!

Well Randy I am sorry to see Mental Mondays going away. I am part of that group who loyally watched every MM video. I didn’t always agree, but I always watched. Maybe you should start a 4th channel and call it Mental Monday and Thinking Thursday….. or something like that. I appreciate all the time and effort you have put into MM. If you decide to bring it back, I will be watching.
Randy I enjoy all your platforms. I do t always get to watch them when they first come out but I've been a follower for several years and appreciate you sharing your knowledge and opinions. These days there are a lot of people that don't want to be accountable for anything or believe in conservation. I liked the few MMs I watched because you were a bass fisherman who was thoughtful - an interesting combination. Our society needs this (always) but at this moment for sure. Wish you would continue to push for a dialogue, but I really understand that this is really difficult and I respect your personal decision to call it quits. I liked your video on finances and living within your means. I have taken that to the bank and in process to live within my means...so thank you for that.
Don't comment much. Love your vids. Your outlook on life. Your discuss of forward facing sonar, and smaller less expensive boats. Comes from being 67 years old, retired from the same job I held for 42 years.

Its a shame we as a people cant have a civil respectful conversations anymore in the last 8 yrs it has went totally out of control. We better wake up before its to late.
I think lots of people have woken up over the past 8 years and that is why they have become less tolerant. People have woken up and now realize that there is a group of people in power who want to collapse the west. Things were more subtle and covert when the majority was asleep.
I didn’t always watch these but I appreciate them.
Sorry to see Mental Mondays go but I understand as to where you are coming from. I have benefitted from these videos and they have helped me relate to certain things that I was able to relate to from past experiences and apply to my daily life. Can't please everyone, it's just the way it is, the internet and social media have become too toxic. Thanks Randy for doing these videos and your channels are awesome!!

I'm a BIG electronics guy - I don't always agree with you but I can respect where you are coming from. The internet is a toxic place; I think you'd find a good home for stuff like this as a morning live-stream to be able to Q&A with viewers to keep the discussion moving forward.
I'm sad, but I totally understand. Your opinions and experience shine on Mental Mondays. I grew to respect you as an outspoken and thoughtful person. Of course, I still do, so I will miss your perspective.
Unfortunately, our nation is divided to the core. It will be such a relief when the instigators of these divisions are exposed for the self-righteous damage they do.
We must act out of love and respect for one another to be diligent stewards of our lives, liberties, and homes, including this beautiful planet.

Smart choice from the position of a business owner. The hardest thing to do is say “no” but often times it’s what will open up more time and energy for other more productive areas of your business. Maybe once a month you throw one in as you enjoy doing it so there is a benefit to you still.
Good choice to give up Mental Mondays. I don’t agree with your politics but I do enjoy learning from your fishing knowledge. Probably best to keep a fishing channel a fishing channel.

I might have agreed with maybe 50% of your MM rants but I 100% support your doing them. Not trying to dump more work on you, perhaps a MM channel would scratch the itch and stop the bleeding on this channel? I do enjoy the debate and banter. I am a strong Randy Blaukat fan! And with eagerness and gratitude I watch every video you have made... except for Mental Mondays. And it is NOT because I agree or disagree with your view points - it's because of the conflict that inevitably resulted in the comments. Like you Randy, I love respectful debate, and the exploration of new viewpoints. But I am also aware that as a society we are broken people (no one is perfect) and we're living in a broken world (just read the news)... so what should we expect to run into every day - brokenness. And today's social media empowers the insecure and immature to "hit-n-run" in forums. With no "face to face" or "eye-to-eye" communication (that requires real social skills) this UA-cam environment unfortunately enables the angry and frustrated people to spew their unhappiness upon others with no consequences.
I truly understand and support your desire to explore diverse points of view, but that requires a "safe place" where open-minded people can be assured they can freely share and not be attacked, rejected, and made to feel small. And as you have discovered, UA-cam is unfortunately a public domain that makes it almost impossible to create the necessary and safe environment for you and your interested viewers to accomplish your well intended goals.
I have sensed your frustration from the very first "Mental Monday" videos, and I regretfully predicted this day would come. I stepped away early because I have personally concluded that with conflict and brokenness "everywhere", life is too short to be immersed in endless friction and constant conflict. We all need a place and time for renewal and peace. I salute you for what you tried to do, but I personally concluded long ago that my love of fishing needed to intentionally remain an special area in my life where the focus would not be marred by conflict, but centered around the positive energy and renewal that angling provides. Selfish? Maybe. But necessary for me to find positivity and balance.
I understand and applaud your intentions for Mental Mondays, but the deck was stacked against you. It is because of my tremendous respect for you, Randy, that I whole-kindheartedly support your need to care for your own mental well-being. May you find less stress in your life, and more peace as a result of your decision!
You have to understand that even though you're a nice guy, and by all means, this is your channel, and you get to decide what to do with it, but you yourself are not very tolerant at all to any other ideas other than the ones you believe in.
It may be a little frustrating for your viewers to want to share their opinion but you make it in a way that they don't even want to share their opinion, because you already state in your video that you're gonna be deleting a lot of comments.
Again, I disagree with you in several aspects, but I don't think that I should stop listening to you altogether.
We have to listen to each other a little more.

On a side note, I don't disagree with you deleting violent rhetoric.

my favorite aspect of mental mondays is how “death positive” you are in the sense that you don’t hide the inevitability of death and a lot of the topics are about facing the passage of time and death which is extremely rare and society tries to force death into a far corner as the last thing you should be thinking about
thank you for bringing death, dying and time to the forefront of our minds i would imagine that topic doesn’t make people comfortable and that’s the reason for a lot of push back but it would help them to take the opportunity to accept it

I don’t pressure anyone to live my life my way. However, my God given inalienable right to freedom, is not up for debate. How I determine those who are opposed to take that freedom from me is not up for debate. If you read this Randy, a thought, take a step away until the first of the year and reflect.
