  • We’re all interested in saving money and staying safe. Your tire’s air pressure is a great place to get both. That’s because low tire pressure can cost you money in lost fuel economy and prematurely worn tires. Plus, that low-pressure can reduce handling and increase the risk of tire failure.
Tires naturally lose one to two pounds of pressure per month. Colder temperatures can cause even more loss. That’s why it’s so important to check your tire pressure once a month.
If you want to do it yourself, be sure to check the plaque on the inside of your driver’s side door or owner’s manual for the standard cold tire pressure or pounds per square inch (PSI) for your vehicle.
The easiest way to check your tire pressure is to drive to Les Schwab. We’ll check it for free and re-inflate if needed.

Faulty advice. Checking TP on a hot or even warm tire (which is what you'd be driving on if you stopped at any tire store to have them checked) will give misleading readings. These guys know that. This would be an opportunity to give them a chance to sell you something. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
