By introducing the development achievements of human rights cause and counter-terrorism in China's northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the article refutes the baseless hype by certain countries of the so-called "Xinjiang issue," and highlights China's willingness to cooperate with Islamic countries to build a community with a shared future for humanity.
On May 22, 2014, five terrorists in two vehicles broke through roadside fences, plowed into the crowd, and set off explosive devices at a market in Gongyuanbei Street of Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, claiming 39 lives and injuring 94 people. (Xinhua)
The international community must come together to combat those terrorists who betray their countries and beliefs, said Zhu, adding that unfortunately, some countries apply double standards on counter-terrorism.
They identify terrorism with specific countries and religions, while turning a blind eye to other countries' efforts and achievements in safeguarding security and combating terrorism and extremism, Zhu noted.
China is a country of ethnic and religious diversity, in which all religions are treated equally and coexist in harmony, Zhu said, noting that members of all ethnic groups are insistent on their demands that terrorism be punished and that their lives and property be protected.
The establishment of vocational education and training centers in Xinjiang is a concrete step taken by China to implement the international community's counter-terrorism and de-radicalization initiatives, including the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and the Plan of Action to Prevent Violent Extremism, he added.
Xinjiang, he noted, has not seen a single violent terrorist attack for three consecutive years, which shows that the de-radicalization and preventive counter-terrorism measures have achieved tangible results and greatly improved people's sense of security and happiness.
He added that China advocates international cooperation to ensure that development is effective in removing breeding grounds for terrorism and radical ideologies.
The Chinese government has always regarded Islamic countries as close partners in promoting common development and safeguarding peace and stability, Zhu said.
China is willing to work with Islamic countries to build a world of lasting peace, universal security and common prosperity, he added.

Syed Taha Ahmed Here is the real history, no western propaganda, Uyghur is Uyghur, not the word "modern" in Turkish language, but the word "unite" in their own language. At ancient time, Uyghur people was slave of Turkic people, the "Uyghur=Turkic" thing is a American propaganda, because USA was supporting a terrorist organization called "east Turkestan", it's made by Osama Bin Laden, yes, the man who caused 911, east Turkestan is a brother of AI Qaeda.
Uyghur people started rebellion against Turkic people, and then, later, about 13th century, the Liao empire in north east China escaped from north east, there was 4 nations, Song of Han people, Liao of Khitai people(they live next to Russia so the word China in Russian is "Khitai"), Jin of Man people(most commonly called "Manchu"), and Mongolian people.
Jin and Song defeated Liao, the Khitai emperor of Liao fled west to XinJiang, and he built a new empire there, he conquered Uyghur.
Later, Uyghur people made alliance with Mongolian people, they defeated Khitai.
And then, Uyghur was just following every strong government in China.
So the "Turkic people in China" part is fake.
And Muslims being prosecuted part is even more fake.

That is a big joke, those are actually re-education camps, they use the word "concentration camps" make it sounds like Hitler's Nazi prosecuting Jews, but in reality it's just a adult school.
Why some of Uyghur people are sent to the camp?
Because they were criminals, terrorists, or at least helping terrorists, the most popular terrorist group in XinJiang is east Turkestan, and there is also ISIS, lots of poor people was being controlled by ISIS, and America is still supporting them fighting against China.
And the last, Muslims are not being prosecuted in China, Uyghur people are being watched by government is because there was a massive terrorist attack in XinJiang, Uyghur terrorists going on the streets destroying everything, burning down the city, killing hundreds of people, they kill everyone, Han people, Hui people, and even Uyghur people staying with Han or Hui people.
Ironically, Hui people is the most Islamic nation in China, most of Hui people are Muslims, they have their Muslim restaurants and mosques, there are no "destroying mosques" and oppressing Muslims, basically, Hui people are the real major Muslim in China, and China is one of the best places for Muslim to live, there are more than 300000 mosques in China, and even the mosque built by the uncle of Muhammad (and a water well made by the uncle of Muhammad) is still nicely protected in China, China have more Muslim and mosques than all western countries added together.
So, its not about Muslim, it's not about prosecuting people, it's just a terrorist organization called "east Turkestan" supported by USA and Osama bin laden in China, and some people misguided by them.
At the end, it's not like what western media told you, most of Uyghur people lives peacefully and happily in China, no one cares about this "concentration camp prosecuting Muslims" in China because it doesn't exist. I regret the fact that I didn’t make the short trip over the border to visit Kashgar to see for myself but now I’m back in Europe...

1) People of "occupied Xinjiang" are of turkic background & Turkey itself has stopped raising its voice against Chinese oppression & barbarism.
2) Turkey is part of anti-Arab alliance, so Arabs are definitely not interested in helping people of "occupied Xinjiang".
3) Almost all countries neighbouring "occupied Xinjiang" are militarily & economically weaker than China today.
4) People of "occupied Xinjiang" belong to Sunni sect, just like Pakistan (only nuclear Muslim country). But these days, Pakistan has become a "prostitute" of the "pimp" called China. Hence, they do not want to go against their new master-pimp.
5) Unfortunately, ETIM freedom fighters have been listed as "terrorists" by China & UN.. So their freedom struggle has weakened.
6) Also, there seems to be very little "active" support from people within "occupied Xinjiang" against Chinese oppression & barbarism.
7) Other islamic forces (somehow) do not want to see / have not yet seen / do not want to act / have not been able to strike against China.
