Absolutely awesome job, Larry!! I sang this song with piano accompaniment in a variety show with my community theater group back in the mid-80s in Queens, NY and I happily got a great reception from people of various age groups… I think growing up I was partial to the Robert Goulet version but of course Jim Nabors famously did an amazing version as well… You gave this such a simple but powerful lyric reading and your voice really complemented it well and of course you are such a great multifaceted musician, and as always your piano accompaniment was perfect… Bravo!! 🎼🎤🎹
