Shapeoko Bit Storage Tray

- Previously I organized half of my CNC cabinet drawer by making a set of clamps and a storage tray on the Shapeoko XL. Now it is time to organize the other side of the drawer and make a storage tray for the end mills and other bits I have collected for the Shapeoko.
I started by taking a snapshot of the wrench that came with my Carbide Compact Router. I used this photo in Affinity Designer to create a vector outline of the wrench for importing into Carbide Create.
In Carbide Create, I made long slots for the bit cases, pockets for the Nitto Permacel tape, holes for collets, and a grid of 1/4" holes for other spare bits. I made the wrench pocket by importing the SVG file I created in Affinity Designer and scaling the wrench to the measured size. I then offset the wrench outline to add some extra space.
After exporting the G-code, I ran the job in Carbide Motion. The job took around forty minutes to complete. The job started with the #102 end mill, and then a #201 end mill was used to complete the pockets and cut the outline.
I now have a well-organized drawer for all of my Shapeoko accessories that's ready to go for future projects!
