I used a android tablet for this and an app such as zenbeats or koala. Plugging a audio cable from the headphone jack of the phone to the 'phone' input/output on the right of the mixer. It seems to automatically send audio from your inputs to whatever device is plugged into the audio input/output hole (I.E, my android tablet). From there I use zenbeats or koala sampler to apply effects. It's like this - The inputs on the mixer sends the inputs audio to my tablet, which my tablet processes and sends back to the mixers headphones jack or outputs. There doesn't seem to be any accidental doubling effect either and next to no latency so far. I'm thoroughly impressed.

I was looking at the Live cast mixer they have also. Anyway you can touch on how well it works with different phones? Or am I just over thinking it. Thanks again.

Thank you Liam. If I want to record a video with a microphone connected and guitar connected, there is no reverb for the microphone in this device, so its not a good option to record videos with a microphone right? You always will need a separate reverb/mixer, to manage this effects, so it becomes less interesting to have specific inputs for instruments and voices that sounds very dry. Is that right?

@@LiamKillen yes. I means use it with Guitar amp/effect software/vst without outputting the dry electric guitar signal that I connect to the unit ,only output processed signal from PC via usb. Can it do that sir?
Isn’t this really the third try at this product and still a micro usb connection. I bought the pro last year it only took a few months for this connection to go bad. The concept of a small interface is great but this is not road worthy which is the point of it. I unplugged the cord after use so it wouldn’t get bumped and damage the jack in transit but it still failed from normal use after a few months. This thing needs to be built better even if it were more money. There are plenty of options for about the same money that are bulkier but can be powered with a power brick and a usb cable. I just don’t want to see people waste the money on this product. If it were about fifty dollars I would say buy two and then you have a backup but at this price Roland needs to do better.
@@LiamKillen both. When I record a video, I can barely hear my synths volume, and the volume is all the way up on it. Same with recording into a mobile daw.

@@LiamKillen Somtimes it works well if it is a person talking and you want to frame their face, that's why its called portrait format but if you want to show more, not so much....aaaahhh you one of those, you can tilt your screen to get it in landscape my friend and you get full-screen content if it is recorded in 16/9 and not 9/16 that is the view that makes sense to our eyes and how we look at the world every day not being on a screen, that's why we got two eyes 🎶😊. Going portrait all the time is weird, imagine if your TV always would be in portrait or when you go to the cinema, no!!
@Riddim Tutoriel Do you watch all your UA-cam content on Facebook? I am not a FB man but why would you access anything from there? Use media and tech as it should be used when we have all the possibilities to do so to get a great experience,
@Riddim Tutoriel I do not watch anything on Facebook, UA-cam is a different a story though
You have to film vertically for UA-cam shorts and tic toc.
Hi. Can it use as audio interface to PC and use with guitar amp vst plugin(like Bias fx) without outputting its direct dry signal?(just output processed signal from PC)
So you mean use it as an audio interface essentially?
@@LiamKillen yes. I means use it with Guitar amp/effect software/vst without outputting the dry electric guitar signal that I connect to the unit ,only output processed signal from PC via usb. Can it do that sir?
Because most mixer with usb interface can't turn off direct input monitoring function.
to my knowledge you’re not able to do that.
I have a question please, is it possible to use it as a soundcard? i've recorded, no pb, but for the return, headphone, it sutters, why ?
I wouldn’t recommend using it as a sound card I don’t think it’s really meant for that
Hello . Does it have inbuilt echo/ reverb?
It does not!
I haven’t had issues but thanks for the heads up!
4i4 is 3x the weight, substantially larger, and several fewer inputs... don't understand the dismissiveness of this
I know Roland make go keyboard.
This go mixer is cool 😎
It’s hella useful
thanks a lot
Cheers
No reverb problem reverb
😏😏😏
Hi bro can you help me with this please
🤔
Does it include Bluetooth?
Ummm to my memory no it does not.
@@LiamKillen thank you
Am in the only one who’s volume is all jacked up on this thing? The volume is too low to really enjoy, the peak is super sensitive
I'm not sure if you mean the video or your personal unit
@@LiamKillen both. When I record a video, I can barely hear my synths volume, and the volume is all the way up on it. Same with recording into a mobile daw.
Gosh I wish it had reverb
That would be a nice plus haha
GarageBand has reverb
6:20 oh snap!!! You know someone in engineering is getting a nasty email from someone in marketing. That's big
Get emmmmm!!!
I can see some line input on the front. I am wondering why you didn't plug the OP-1 into one of the front inputs?
Good question lol- i just had a cable at hand and that’s what I used
@@LiamKillen Thanks, I just wasn't sure if there was something specific to those inputs.
Can it be used without the usb connected? Example audio in from mic or instrument and out into a hardware sampler without involving phone, tablet or laptop?
Yeah but in that case you’d have to run it on a battery
Let me get this right. It's not pro quality but it is. 3:15 5:49
It’s pro for streaming but not like studio pro quality ya know? It’s not like neve pre amps or something
@@LiamKillen , how about sample rate? 44, 48? thank you for you response, great vid and info!
Even when u have it plugged in you can't have it recording Vertical because of the wire plugged in on the bottom 😏
Yup
God ! You really need to change those guitar strings xoxo
I like em nice n DEAD!
Suppose I don’t want to output to an iPhone or iPad but into a normal video recorder, is this possible.
Like a computer editing software u mean?
@@LiamKillen like a normal camcorder.
Hmm not sure about that tbh
@@LiamKillen no problem. Thanks anyway
cheers
SO ........
WHAT'S THE FVKING DIFFERENT WITH LASTEST ONE?????????????????????
🧐
Biggest drawback this gear has that it doesn't have Reverb/Delay effect
Fair
Connect amp with direct out in
It’s not Ghetto it’s called Jugaad
😎😎😎
Please I need immediate respond
Lol
