Congrats Smithy, from Annapolis! Any chance you'll take her to the Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart this year?
No, just Harbour racing and local cruising. I will fly down for the Festival though, wouldn’t miss it!
Amazing history living again in boats like VOLUNTEER! What’s the name of that bay? I would like to read more of the local history.
The boatyard is in Berrys Bay, North Sydney. There is an excellent book on the history of Berrys Bay, A CHANGING TIDE by Randi Svensen.
Congratulations!
And what is the boat design with the white hull at 1:34?
WAITANGI, 30’ cruiser class, 1922. Built by Wee Georgie Robinson and his brother Jack, restored by Rick Wood.
Show us ya bilge smithy
I’ll show you mine if you show me yours!
Long life to Volunteer ant his crew!
