Unfortunately the guy I got mine from doesn’t seem to do it anymore. He’s not replying to emails. It was a lot you could install yourself or send into him to do it
Glad to see it’s easy to do this. The only thing I could use swapped is my A knob. The push to clear a lock function doesn’t work 100%. But this will need some soldering which is not one of my abilities lol.
Just replaced my Octa MkII buttons and was pretty disappointed that, despite also asking for replacement knobs, none were included. Shipping and duty cost me damn near as much as the caps did, so almost $100 Canadian, but they came from Sweden in like 3 days.
The buttons are relatively cheap. It’s the shipping from Europe to the USA that’s the killer. Was almost as much as the buttons ($35 if I remember correctly)
I'm curious about the battery setup! What type of battery are you using? Is it a kit you ordered online specifically for the Octa?

I have seen some folks clean gunk out of the button actuators with some rubbing alcohol. Might try that
@@_justin_joe good idea!

Yeah the shipping to US is insane
I would email them about the knobs
How much did they charge for the full set of button replacements I bet it was not cheap

glad to see this, does the new replaced button still have the soft touch surface on it?
They sure do. Feel great and like new
you dont need to open the octatrack or any elektron to replace the buttons. just use a guitar pick or a credit card
Really? I thought I had to take it apart, that’s good to know!
Thanks for that tip!
didnt know a pretty machine could get any better looking
elektron also made this relatively simple compared to grooveboxes/synths in the past, much welcomed
I totally agree. Its pretty simple and painless
