Guys! I’ve got the job as a QA software engineer, it will be my first job!! Very excited. I came to tell it because I know the advices in this video are very useful. Be a person more than a calculator, a human more than an engineering machine
Love that part about sharing your other passions with the passion of qa, this can apply to any field. Phenomenal video, a great reminder for us to put in the work and enjoy the process.
One thing everyone has to notice that the Intterviewer is so expressive and comforting the person who is getting interviewed, by communication skills but moreover on Body language and facial experssion. I think she's the best one for any company. Kudos , i have learnt many things from the Interviewer 🙂
I'm currently looking for an IT field where I can transfer on to. During my interviews I always got intimidated by the technicalities of things, but thank you for reminding me that it doesn't have to always go that way. I'll be more calm and natural moving forward.
He's Awesome my thoughts exactly, I'm always preaching this, there are things that cannot be taught, if you have a good base, the rest can always be learned 🤓 Hopefully I can find a course I can afford and move forward with my Tech career!
I'm interested to new QA opportunities abroad! I loved the video, the tips was good, and it will help people to be more confident in an interview. I would like to practice and trainer a interview with Carlos if as possible.
Hey I was thinking about making some more QA engineering content and I would really appreciate some topics or any support on my channel I’d love to help people learn more about this 🤗🤗
Sounds to me like Meaghan ain't doing her job, creating employer relations with companies for her most recent graduates/alumni. Telling them to go to meet ups and network when networking is most likely in your roles and responsibilities job description. This is an expensive bootcamp and she won't even go the extra mile for these students, but all she talks about is students gotta go the extra mile. These students have gone the extra mile by enrolling in your course and investing in themselves. They are literally providing your paycheck and you can't go the extra mile for them?!?? Shame!!
White boarding really caught most of QAs offguard. 😅 Basically, just ask questions and clarifs. If you are a bit stuck, think out loud. The interviewer is your bestfriend there. Most of the time, the interviewer just want to see if you have logic formulation.
A QA meet up sounds so good, wish it was local. I'd just love to talk to that group to say "Hey QA is something I've wanted to do, what do you recommend I start with?"
I really enjoyed the talk and the tips. I'm currently researching more about the field and what do I need to become a software tester. I just do not know if those are the qualifications to land a job in QA. Carlos repeatedly said that he wants someone that makes him laugh. The lady said that she wants someone who is good at talking. Well, I'm none of those things, that means that I have no chance of becoming a tester? So If I'm not charismatic in my personality and my talk is not interesting, that means I'm a loser?
hey! How are you doing? I recommend watching some talks by James Bach if you haven't yet. He explains very good why and how 'talking' (communicating) is important for testers. His talks are fun and entertaining and I got some valuable learnings from them (and applicable not only for testing). The 'make me laugh', I don't know... charismatic people may have an advantage here because they easily can communicate that they're capable of communicating (in a wider sense) and talk about what they're doing and why in a relatable way for also non-tech-involved people like managers and hr. not exactly comparable. Their attitude on whiteboard testing is actually the only thing I liked about this video. Of course as a doctor you have to know your craft, but you have proven this during your exams. The interview is not really the place to put your university education in question. These exercises are about assessing how you deal wit new situations and how you handle problems. As they said they want to see that you can be humble and willing to learn. I don't know what this would look like in the medical field, but a good interviewer would ask you to solve a problem, that you most likely DON't have expertise on. They then can see what is your reaction to this as a "person" not a as a doctor
A short online Software CA course with SEBRON UNIVERSITY is what helped me find a job in this field. I am currently making $140k+ in the Chicago area as a Lead Software QA Testing Manager
Spend hundreds of thousands on university education, go into debt for years. Sit your ass down to learn proof by induction and O notation. Hire a tutor and sacrifice your freetime for years to get good grades. Do internships and underpaid part time jobs to gain some experience and have something to put on your resume. hiring manger picks the guy who paid them lunch. Why is everybody here so positive about this? This is COMPLETE bullshit ! I liked the part on white board testing though. He has a good attitude towards this. A programmer will always work with an IDE and language syntax details are the least important thing to know as a developer
In the US inclusion and social diversity are such big issues. What about including someone who has a little bit of trouble expressing themselves or simply isn't a great storyteller? Programming is a field that traditionally attracts quiet, less communicative people quite a lot. Many programmers simply prefer sitting at a pc, automating something over going to conventions and chat up random people. I do think social skills are important, but there definately should be room for the "nerdy expert type" in every company too. It is super important to develop and build social skills. But it is terribly disrespectful and morally wrong that we are required nowadays to be good entertainers or literally bribe our way into positions. In the end proven qualifications (experience, degrees, recommendations) should matter more than your karate story. Open positions should be publicly announced (online job offer) so that the largest number of interested people have a chance to present their resume, not be given away informally at some meetup of privileged circles. That's called a rational recruiting process and obviously something that this guys company doesn't exercise. This is not only more respectful towards applicants, as it doesn't require people to play the fool for their hiring manager, but also has a much higher chance to find the person which is the most qualified for the job (and available at the time).

Do you like Spiderman movies ?? And also do you favour the chemistry between Peter and Mary Jane ?

Why is it sucky to compare people you are interviewing? How else do you determine the best qualified for the job?
Thank you
How qa interview pass any person tell me

I want to work in QA, on a team, and make a positive impact and be valued.
I’m interested in QA carrier if available Carlos sounds like you are open to coaching for new comers!

That's awesome...did u have any prior experience ? How did u land 140k job just on certification?
@@bigge319 lol that’s easy. No one needs a certification much less a degree for any tech jobs anymore.
i wish he is my manager !!
Tester should be negative other than positive
in 99% no one will tell you the reason "why not you ..." ... probably due to legal issues that they do not want to have
The mic check guy needs to be re-evaluated...
This guy is setting himself up for a lot of free lunches
Smart guy
