The Triang R.355R "Polly" was made in the mid to late 1960's. The loco body is based on the LSWR / SR class C14, with the water tanks and boiler stretched by approximately 1.5cm. The real life C14 0-4-0T also had Walscherts valve gear with outside cylinders, which the Triang "Polly" does not.
Hi cz350tuner, thankyou for watching. And a big thankyou for the info on the 0-4-0. I have all the Hornby catalogues from the 70s & 80s but not many from the 60s. I was surprised to learn that it was based on a real loco. Hope you enjoyed the video, and again big big thankyou. All the best. Carl.
Hi Carl. Lovely to see Polly up and running, i remember seeing her, and the early Flying Scotsman in the catalogue. Your rake of Pullman coaches look very smart. I have just bought some myself, i have Ruth, Anne, Jane and the brake coach.
Hi Andrew, I,v done a bit of work on the haul I had off martin & Ellen, kept me busy. Polly is a nice little model. Tha Flying Scotsman was off eBay about 3 years ago. I have 2 rakes of Pullmans. Hornby & Triang.. I try to run them equally. Thankyou for watching butty. All the best. Carl.
Some nice locos there again, Carl. Great to see that little loco running, looking great with the new name stickers and chimney on. My grandson has been busy today filming and editing so hopefully another masterpiece coming soon. We've enjoyed watching the locos running... Cheers James 🙂👍
Hi James, thankyou to you & your grandson as always. I shall keep my eye out for your video. Tell your grandson to keep them coming. All the best butty. Carl.
That silver link looks brilliant mate. I didn't know Lilliput also experienced Mazac rot. Learn something everyday. Sir Ralph looks like a nice runner as well. You can't beat the Flying Scotsman, just a great looking loco. Steven.
