Nice quick fix. I ended up getting my DX commander mast up last night with my 10m 9:1 as the mag loop is that great but it's something I guess. Slight high winds last night so the mast is now about 10 degrees over from vertical 🥴 73 buddy
If you want to work 40m inter-g on low power you really should get a horizontal or inverted V dipole or end fed, keep the vertical for the dx and higher bands.
@@G5STU hi mate thanks for the tips. Plan to get a 991a at some point but the station will say we need other things not a toy radio. Hi hi. So could be awhile before I save for one. Plus the power supply and a DX commander antenna. I only have a DX commander mast which I use. My garden is about 8x8m. You should see the efhw when I have that wrapped around the garden. Neighbours love it. 😂🤦🏽♂️ 73

Do you eventually plan on burying those radials to aid easy lawn mowing?
no, it's not my house and not sure I'll be here super long term to need to keep it temporary.
