the biggest thing ive noticed with players who go from cs to val is the aiming style, while in cs sprays are a lot more forgiving which means the optimal way to fight is to control your spray and spam bullets into upper body/head, in valorant sprays are chaotic and unpredictable so its more of a precise tapping/bursting style, trying to hit the first or second bullet on the head

As someone that has dumped thousands of hours and cash into both, it's definitely a huge misconception saying Valorant is a complete 1-1 with CSGO/2, which is something I hear A LOT. I often have to rebuild my muscle memory after playing one over the other for so long. Valorant feels a lot more like 1.6 if anything, so it's a bit easier for me as I played a ton of it back in the day, but it's amusing seeing so many CSGO players struggle after clowning on Valorant for so long and saying they'd crush Valorant players simply because they played tons of CS. It was definitely the case in the first year, but a lot has changed since then.
CS and Valorant might seem similar in some ways, but when you get to try both, you will know it's quite a different experience. If you want to get better in Valorant, there's 4 things you gotta do. 1. Never miss leg day. I mean practicing in Range before playing. I used to spend more than half an hour a day to achieve my current aim. (preferably with strafe option on for the bots to make them somewhat similar to players) 2. Watch videos on how to play. (counter strafe, agent tricks and tutorials, lineups, and other stuff like that) 3. Always play a few deathmatches before hopping on comp. 4. Spend lots of time grinding. After a few years of it's release, even lower rank players of Valorant have somewhat learned the right movements and precise aiming patterns. It wouldn't be possible to expect to beat them without putting some time on the game. (which I don't recommend myself after spending 6000 hours :D)
Valorant was my first fps game. In fact, it was my first ever pc game. I installed it the day I bought my first laptop. I didn't even know about the spray, the abilitie, or even how to plant and diffuse. I still got placed into bronze 3 xp. And now 800 hours later, I'm in diamond 3. And I can't play cs for my life. Its just soo different. The kill doesn't even register to me.
For someone who started Val in October 2023, it's been a love-and-hate relationship. I'd say spring-summer 2024 is when I actually opened up to playing this game more. Then, with CS I started in January 2023, it's a game where I'd like to get more familiar playing and build my loadout as well, but it's an expensive hobby. even though I got 10 cases w/o keys lololol. hoping to buy a gloves & knife combo soon. I enjoyed this vid a lot pls make more!
Hey, i started iron 1 in act 1 episode 2. One thing I will say about valorant is that it's inconsistent asf. The only way to be good at it is by learning the rules of this game efficiently and then breaking them strategically.
I honestly can relate to this so much, i felt like an idiot after getting iron 3 despite doing well in cs. Left the game, came back and got bronze 2, now I'm actually improving. Короче видос мне понравился, делай еще обязательно
My first rank in Valorant was during the beta and the ranking system was very scuffed and broken. I placed iron 1. But when it was finally fixed, when the first act of episode 1 came out, i placed platinum 1
valorant is not as easy a game as it looks, I play both games myself, but when I started playing valorant seriously, I noticed how much better I became in both games, my game sens increased enormously and aim
same thing happened to me when i switched to val, around 1k hours in cs i was peak mge and when i placed i got silver 1 lol, even to this day i would say i have great mechs and i am still plat after around another 1k hours
@@literallyiron1 if you can get to gold you can get to plat. And I KNOW people struggle getting up to gold because one of my best friends peak is bronze one and he can't even get over 10 kills in an iron lobby. But if you can get to silver then you can get to plat.
I relate heavily to this man, I reached LEM is CSGO b4 and played Val, and my highest rank reached was only Gold 3. I've stopped playing fps for like almost a year now and also playing val with reyna and getting dogged on all the time 😂😭
I'm D3 Valorant player but occasionally I played in lower ranks with my friend. I must say that nobody picks smoker in lower rank and that makes the game 10x harder. Just pick smoke for your team and smoke the main angles. It makes a huge difference.
As a valorant player and CS enjoyer i feel like learning the maps helps a lot. If you dont know where head level is on each map or how each map works its basically impossible to climb higher than like gold just off pure cs skill. Same could be said for valorant.
whoever said Reyna is the counterstrike agent is wrong. KAYO is the counterstrike kit. Reyna is usually the smurf agent because the kit allows for aggressive fights and healing like a rambo medic. the ult also makes everything work faster (movement accuracy resets, gun shot speed, etc.) and removes the cost of the skills so you can steamroll people easier. Edit: csgo has way faster movement recoil reset and after spray reset, so valorant plays clunky and much slower if you come from csgo. Spraying is also crap because there bullets always have rng even the first shot. This makes the game even slower as people focus on headshots instead of spray control.
One thing i suggest you try is stop countyer strafing, unless you dont already, but if you do you shouldnt. When countersftrafing in valorant vs not its like noticing a 1 ping difference or none at all because the characters stop in 7 frames rather than 34 in cs. Another thing i suggest is try getting more calm aim. Im not saying shoot slower but make sure ur crosshair is on the enmy b4 shooting
Placed bronze 2 like 2 years ago. peak ascendant, hardstuck diamond rn. wasn't a cs player. I experienced similar thing to you. Got so many random friends even from solo queue/swiftplays(well, I met some girls from play swiftplays, too). I think it's because valorant is having some roles in the game. Hope you have good experience in valo!

to climb ranks, its better to find people that are higher rank than what you are; so if you're bronze, try playing with silvers. you can either learn with them, or if you're already good/better, you can show Valorant you can frag those lobbies. (more rr=rank up)
The recipe for valorant is get your teammate to talk. Initiate a talk for the agent selection phase, if no one answered expect it on the actual matches. If after 4 rounds no one still talking or chatting, youre on your own now. Either top frag while losing or be botfrag while losing. Also you can queue dodge if your gut is telling you that youre gonna have a bad game with no comms at all. Valorant MM is like a woman moodswing, youll never know if youre gonna get fcked over.
Although it wasnt csgo i feel you on getting your expectations shit on the first time playing valorant xD I was top 0.01% peak in pubg, I moved on to apex legends which was 100% more fast paced then pubg and could only reach a peak of diamond 1 in that game. I started playing val on and off after that and I was doing insane in the unrateds to level up to lvl 10 (this was when val first released) I thought I was gonna at least place plat 1 minimum, but nope stinky silver 1 was my first rank lmao. I did eventually push to p1 in the first season but it took at least 100wins to do so lmao. It's a massive learning curve from non-ability based games but with time it gets easier, I've peaked d3 now but I still feel as if I'm a plat because I hit diamond 1 for the first time the season ascendant was released bahahaha

Also you can queue dodge if your gut is telling you that youre gonna have a bad game with no comms at all. Valorant MM is like a woman moodswing, youll never know if youre gonna get fcked over.
I know he’s stated that he’s obviously not experienced with the abilities, but the constant Reyna healing while at full health is slightly painful
It's a massive learning curve from non-ability based games but with time it gets easier, I've peaked d3 now but I still feel as if I'm a plat because I hit diamond 1 for the first time the season ascendant was released bahahaha
kayo is the csgo version of valorant xD
I have 1k hrs in tf2 and overwatch
Placed bronze3 then a month later got to plat. But that month was filled with 6hrs a day of valorant session
