@Sharopolis, recently, on the Switch, Nintendo has made the first Fire Emblem game into an official English translation, along with retro and modern graphics, as well as both Japanese and English text options.

@Sharopolis, I call bullshit on your claim that technical games like Fire Emblem did not sell well in the Western markets, as Dynasty Wars and Nobunaga's Ambition have indeed sold well in the Western markets, with the latter game actually still having releases in the Western market to this day, plus it also gave rise to the Dynasty Warriors/Shin Sengokumusou franchise, several related franchises, and even a few copycat franchises, and the Kessen trilogy. You also forgot to mention the Suikoden franchise, the Disagea franchise, the Advance Wars franchise, La Pucelle: Tactics, and even the Final Fantasy Tactics, and related, games from that franchise. Also, technically, Fire Emblem was NOT the first type of SRPG/TRPG, as the Daisenryaku series actually started that trend before Fire Emblem, for Daisenryaku I, a.k.a., Gensai Daisenryaku, was made in November 1985, whereas Fire Emblem (I): Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light was made on April 20, 1990, which is a full five years after Gensai Daisenryaku, and The Devouring of Heaven and Earth, which, despite taking place in the same universe, as well as with the same characters, as Dynasty Wars and Warriors of Fate, a.k.a., Tenshi o/wo Kurau I and II in the arcade, is also an SRPG/TRPG that was released on May 19, 1989 in Japan and as Destiny of an Emperor in September 1990 in the NTSB-U region.

None of these on the website work on the NES or SNES Classic. Do I have to edit those file downloads?

Romhacking.net has IPS patch files which you can use to patch the original Japanese rom files into English. You'll need the original rom file, the patch from romhacking.net and a patching tool to do the patching. Lunar IPS is probably the best Windows patcher - you can get it here fusoya.eludevisibility.org/lips/. If you're not used to messing around with rom files it might seem like a bit of a hassle, but it's pretty easy really if you do a bit of research. This FAQ might be a help too www.romhacking.net/faq.
