You're just like me. I also left LA for Seattle but in 2018. Grew up in the (818). The balance of city, mountains, lakes and nature trails is what did it for me. The Pacific Northwest has a healing energy about it if you're not from there. I'm at peace in the area. Plus the optimistic vibe of the young professionals is contagious. I feel like I can do anything in Seattle and thrive. I live on the Eastside now by Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah and love it up here.

I definitely feel the same way I’ve visited Seattle multiple times and lived abroad like Houston and California and Oklahoma but Seattle just stands out to my needs as far as beautiful fresh air nature mountains thriving economy and is also growing in black culture so if your Melanated def gives you room to stand out from the crowd or be open to a lot more opportunities
I lived in Seattle for two wonderful years (2007-2009) and have regretted moving back to the swampy heat of Florida. Will pack up and move back soon!😁😁
I've been watching a bunch of videos and house searching in Seattle....I'm from Brooklyn but I love hiking and just being surrounded by nature and water and I wanted somewhere that was still kind of close to the city...I'm hoping to move there by the end of next year

Enjoy the beautiful Summer for sure (September is actually my favorite month in the NW and Seattle) but also, prepare yourself for the gray gloom and drizzle/rain that predominates for basically half of the year! I’m a native Seattleite and lived in sunny So Cal (SD)for 14 years..came back to NW nearly 5 years ago and the winters are still really hard for me to take to the point where I’m “jonesin” to move again!

I'm currently in NYC, but the Pacific Northwest has been my favorite area to live in *because* of the breathtakingly beautiful natural landscapes. I lived in Oregon, but felt an electric feel every time I drove through Washington. Had never spent too much time in Seattle (mostly Tacoma and the countryside outside of Seattle), but my eyes are set on living there next. Thanks for this video. @@moroblueh the landscape is beautiful. Water, trees, hills. So much green, lakes, ocean. The weather is much more mild, doesn’t get too hot or too cold most of the year. There aren’t bugs like there are in the south, no cockroaches, etc. There are cons of course too which is why I left (lack of sunshine, very grey and dark, winters are long, very short Spring and Fall). It’s a very personal thing though, Seattle is nowhere near perfect! I also have family here so I’m biased to stay here.

The politics, the lack of police or enforcement of laws, crime, homelessness, skyrocketing housing prices and out of this world rent are killing my home. Lived here 49 years. All my life. hundreds if not thousands of businesses closed. Big businesses fleeing the city. Its obvious you have a substantial amount of money because that apartment your in probably costs more per month than what I make in 6 months. Not hating on your wealth. Just saying that's good because it provides a barrier to all that is fucked up with this city now. You can afford the security needed to stay safe here. Good luck to you, stay safe, stay healthy. But you really should be telling people the truth. Until things get turned around, if they get turned around, I wouldn't recommend that anyone move here.
The issues regarding crime, homelessness, and skyrocketing housing costs are prevalent in most medium and large sized American cities. My big caution over anybody moving here (native east coast person, have lived here 33 years) is the Seattle fault. If it goes off in my lifetime and I survive, I hope the city can get rebuilt otherwise a lot of us will die a slow death from starvation and homelessness.

No kids outside playing. The indoor Apt feels like I live in a hotel. Parking is expensive. Not much resources. They don’t let you merge on the freeway. They keep calling ppl transplant. Like wtf. I hate it here so bad and can honestly say I made a mistake. If you are from CA please for the love of God don’t move to WA.
