This presentation will cover the practical ideas and boots-on-the-ground methods used by a landlord in Missouri to successfully find and engage over 175 purple martin landlords across the state. Best practices on how to reach out and identify landlords and potential landlords, how to successfully manage the interactions, resources available and the impact of a successful
mentoring program on the purple martins across the state of Missouri. Included in this presentation are the measures (what worked and what didn't work) used to deter a Great Horned Owl and maintain a constant colony size for over 9 years.
