Any relation to maid of Orleans tea jasmine. Also purchased on Amazon 2 months ago am blooming now and very fragrant though not as strong as night jasmine.
I do not think the two are related, the closest cultivars that related to maid of new orleans that I can think of: sambac, and grand duke. The fragrance on orange jasmine is more pronounced and sharper.
@@ninelinks3443 Thanks! I have a dozen I started from seed in April. They are all 8-12" tall now and some started blooming when they were only 4" tall. Amazing plants. They really love a lot of sun and fare so much better in the Texas heat than most of my other plants. Easy care.

That one I acquired in 2021 so roughly 3 years. The size would have been lot bigger if allowed.
