If you’re using this method, be aware that if gilthunder lives on stage 2 for too long then his recovery skills will stack up too high and make it impossible for him to die. Just been autoing the stage for coins and ran into this possibility. Small possibility though since I’ve done around 20 runs.

Assault Meli is one of the available strategy for the final, I feel so relieve that this final boss isn't as annoying as escanor and I can auto farm it

That first phase loop was ridiculous. That bot was hell bent on using the rupture card when the amplify would insta-kill. Generally though, I can see why the AI would be written to try the rupture cards on buffed enemies as they have double damage...but goddamn that was a nightmare. Fucking bots are insane, they have no ability to think critically at any higher level than "buffed? RUPTURE!....why I no win!!!?" so you get this result
I tried the auto strat yesterday, by doing so I discovered an infinity loop lmao. The fact that my Assault Meli isn't particularly maxed out coupled with the AI being as dumb as it is, I definitely got some interesting results. I left it on auto for about an hour. Turns out my AI would always leave Howzer alive for such a long period of time, that he would get all 5 HP-related stat buffs and by that point no matter what my AI did, he was impossible to kill. One thing to note is my Assault Meli is 2/6, so his ult doesn't hit as hard as you think it should. Anyway, between Howzer constantly healing from regen rate and his ults, and my Meli straight-up spamming rupture AOEs instead of using the 2 gold amplify cards he has in his hand, this led to a stalemate where neither of them dies. Needless to say, in an hour my AI was about 90+ turns into the final boss extreme stage
first they release a boss that I was only able to beat once in the easiest difficulty with extreme luck because I didnt have mono, now they release a boss that does patience to my derieri..
But the AI might just be seatins fault. You can somewhat change the AI in the menu from defensive to balanced to offensive. Might help choosing the higher level cards.
I just get shafted 😭 damn after grinding up to 400 gems still can't get valenti.. and i calculated it.. i can get it even for guaranteed.. im very sad wth netmarble.. I should've saved them for rezero.. but i love valenti more than anyone ..
