Brother, you’re awesome. Thank you for making this video. I dropped the top while making margs. The springs and pieces went everywhere. I didn’t even know there were 4 springs until watching your video and then finding the 4th under the fridge. Appreciate you taking the time to record and upload this. You saved the day. Internet high-five. 🤘🏻
Thanks Alkatross! Something was rattling inside of the lid on our Ninja. I wasn't sure about just popping the lid apart; I was concerned that I would break something else. I went ahead, and it came apart easily. The rattle was from one of the L-shaped pins...it had come out and was just rattling around inside of the lid. ...and yes...the inside of the lid was pretty nasty! 😂
Thank you so much!!! I had the exact same problem. Button wouldn't work. Took it apart, discovered I only have two of the screws, not four. Hope it's okay. And one of the springs that pushes the button up is missing. But it seems to be working for now. You just saved me a whole bunch of money! Thanks again. 😊 FYI I'm a 69 year old woman. There is nothing that says I have to be a helpless woman! 😁
THANK YOU!!!! YOU SAVED ME A TRIP where I bought the blender or $75 that a lock lid cost!!! Thank you!!!!.... great explanation 👌!! For ever thankful 👏 🙏! (Joshua's mom)
I can't believe you were able to find the spring twice! My dropped things disappear forever into the black hole of nothingness!! Even I could have made the repair with your expert instruction. I did get a little nervous when I saw the hammer. I was wondering if we would see smashing if the assembly proved problematic! LOL!
For sure you would have! Smashing is usually ny backup plan. The first smashing was a measured bashing with a rubber mallet to see if I could knock the problem free. When it didn't work I took it apart.
Me sirvió demasiado a mí se me cayó la tapadera y se me desarmó toda pero gracias a este video pude armarla otra vez la única diferencia es que mi tapadera no traía tornillos sólo entraba a presión pero muy buen video gracias
Great video! The button wouldn't unlock the lid. Took it apart and the little plastic L piece was broken. I didn't have that glue, but after watching the video and figuring out what does what I realised a credit card slide down inside the handle would release the two locks and the handle pops right open. (the button opens the side that's not broken, but the other side gets out of alignment). So the credit card on that side and I'm good to go. Saved me buying a new lid. Thanks!
Mine is designed similarly but also slightly different. Your lid has the sliding assembly within a case that you screw down. On mine they have eliminated the case and they enclose the beveled pins that have the springs fit through a small opening with a small piece of plastic and the plastic had broken loose so the beveled pins where allowed to move up and down slightly. The problem with my lid is that the locking handle wouldn't lock down and I had to hold it down manually the whole time I would be using the Ninja so that it would come on. So, they have made some minor design changes but they still have not eliminated the problems with the lid.
Brilliant work. I had the exact same problem and glued an appropriate sized lego where you glued the plastic piece. Working great now. Thank you for the video!
Unfortunately that seems to be a weakness on these lids for years. You would think the manufactures of Ninja would come up with an engineering fix because this has been an on going problem according to the number of UA-cam videos on this same issue.
@@kermitefrog64 there are many different lid designs too; makes it hard to figure what problem people are having. I always criticize manufacturers for optimizing designing for cheapness, but you got to hand it to em, at least ninja made something that could be disassembled and fixed.
I opened my lid up and realized that it doesn't have the button housing that gets screwed onto the lid?? We've been having issues where the lid doesn't close because the tray with tabs that secure the handle down has too much give. Any suggestions on a replacement piece?
@@MicroVortex back when I made this video, you could only find used lids on ebay for like 80 bucks, but new lids are on Amazon for 23 bucks. I would probably just do that as a replacement. Just make sure it fits your exact model.
A guest dropped the cover and the release button popped out. Your video made the repair reasonably simple.
Fantastic!
Thank you for you step by step fix. The 2 medal hooks that came out. I finally found the area to fit them in from you clip.
Thank you so so much!!!! Mine disarmed, and I couldn't use it, but after watching your video, I could finally fixed it!!! Thank you so so much ♡♡♡♡

Much appreciated, i dropped the lid when i was washing it and when it came apart i didn't know how to put it back together right

Great video. Help us greatly to put the lid assembly back together. We took it apart for cleaning and were puzzled as how to put it back together.
It gets pretty gross in there with dishwasher detritus. Glad you got it clean! 👍
Thanks. This helped a lot!
Thank you
