Ninja Blender Release Button Fix - Part 1 - The Plan

Ninja blender release button not working. This fix applies to the lid for the 1000 watt Ninja blender. A little piece of plastic broke and it would not release. I almost lost a delicious smoothie!

Thank you. This answers the why, yet the easiest fix is duct tape over the pin sticking out to far. The tape bends enough for the pin to work but keeps it from protruding too far.

@@TedWattenberg What can't duct tape fix? Not sure how that tape would hold up in the dishwasher though. Water is no problem but the heat is another story. Any excuse to use e6000

The reassembly video helped me out a ton! Wanted to say thanks! Also it looks like you cleaned all the silicon grease off all the internals. It’s there to keep all the moving parts lubricated/smooth and it makes the moving parts quieter as well. It may or may not also help prevent any rust.

I suppose the grease washed out before I took it apart. I don't remember seeing any. Hitting it with some silicone lube would be a good idea.
