I’ve found fishing the banks around the marina at patoka and up those 3 fingers off to the right are good for decent largemouth with an 8” black Berkeley power worm. Most of the tournament bass stick around this area for a while when released and black seems to be a failsafe color. Been fishing patoka for 38 years. Painters creek area at the stickups for crappie seems to work better than anywhere else.
Around the release area is good for sure, lots of the fish once released kind of hang around for a good while. Can’t beat the ol power worm! I like black or my favorite color is tequila sunrise. Good luck on the water and have a blessed day.

Patoka has been a tough nemesis for me over the years. That said, I was able to catch some decent size off shore on a good hump that ended up producing some fish.
I had to shift hard from my normal comfort zone to get it done.
It’s a tricky place for sure, I hope it fishes a little better this year

Where were you fishing ?
We were at Patoka and a Rough river. We fish both lakes fairly often but the fishing at Rough seems to be better most of the time.
Because you have a political flag ... I'll not watch that crap especially wile I fish .. good luck to you
