Around the release area is good for sure, lots of the fish once released kind of hang around for a good while. Can’t beat the ol power worm! I like black or my favorite color is tequila sunrise. Good luck on the water and have a blessed day.

It can be a tough lake but has got good ones. Depending on the time of year will determine how I would approach it, and your style of course. But I enjoy fishing offshore, June, July, and August. But there is always fish up shallow, so if you choose the shallow game, stick close to where the creek channels come up and hit the bank or get close to it. Flippin, buzzbaitin, etc. Find the stained water . If the grass is coming in good, check the mainlake grass lines, sometimes the inside grass line will hold the bigger fish. If the water is clear then chase the wind. Try and fish areas that have a little wind blowing on them. But I wouldn’t run very far, as all the tournaments go out of the main ramp, so all the bass are released in the same general area. Good luck and tight lines

I’m just north of Corydon, so about 1 1/2 hrs east on 64 from you. I’ve wanted to head that way and fish the strip pits, it’s the bass fishin at the pits any good?

@@so.inoutdoors there may be a small amount of snow tonight but doesn’t look like much! The pits at Bluegrass FWA have some giants in them but they are fished hard! If you come out this way let me know!

The classic in 87’ out of the Louisville pool wasn’t much better either. Even the Pittsburg Classic in 2005 was terrible. It is like a lot of fisheries, it has its days. But the days are few and far between😅
