It would have been better if we could provide or mention the written name of the characters at the same time while you are saying about the characters, it is very hard for non-native learner to catch the characters names through dialogue or by listening lecture like yours

This presentation persuaded me not to read "MiddleMarch." It seems totally lacking in any viable plot and filled with unattractive and self-absorbed characters.

Hey! That is a very valid point. I am a university student who was forced to read this book. But, it actually is very interesting, and the characters have amazing quotes and it makes you really think about your life and personal relationships. It's definitely worth it to read. It's one of the great classics in the world. And many renowned authors love it. It is more interesting than the summary leads on. And the characters are lovable and relatable because of their flaws. You come to sympathize with them and understand them :)

@@hopscotchbunny Well said! I'm in the middle of reading this novel, and it grows on you if you persist. I need to get hold of the 1994 BBC adaptation of Middlemarch. This TV series will help me visualise the characters and bring them to life in my mind, to make the reading of the novel more appealing.

@Fitness4London it takes a while to get into. But the morals in the story and the situations are so relatable today. Womens issues, money, family, and relationship problems will always be relatable. It's a task, but it's rewarding!!! It's enjoyable once you understand it. It might take a few tries. But it is worth doing
