It's a nice microphone I purchased this about a year ago and honestly I can't tell a difference at all. From the radio equalizer to this mic. Kind of a waste of money honestly,sure it looks nice but the eq settings in the ft dx10 sound a lot better to me,but it's a matter of opinion I guess. I put mine back in the box and saving it for a rainy day.
The thing about microphones is there is little to be gained by spending this much money, imho. There was a podcaster who even stated this - and they benefit from more of a complete frequency response than hams who are limited to plain SSB. $100-$125 is about the sweet spot on mikes - even in podcasting but especially on plain SSB. Anything too much beyond this receives little extra return. Perhaps on ESSB this would be more noticeable.
I have one to go along with my FT DX-10. It is over kill. Like having a 101MP, you’ll never use all the features however it’s fun to brag on the air how much money you spent on your equipment lololol. Boys and their toys

I think if u want the desk top mic experience its worth it .
