These officers were VERY patient and understanding, taking the time to explain the situation and procedures many times to that man...

These officers showed an immense amount of patience with the crowd. Especially with the "ladies" making it worse. If someone breaks the law what does it matter if the person is a minor or a woman ? In the beginning the copwatch person even said he has no idea what is going on. Then as the video goes on he also continues to make matters worse.

I was! I was slammed to the ground out of no where because I "matched the description" of who they were looking for! Never asked for my name, my ID, or anything. I was later released with zero charges and the arresting officer was fired. That happens more than u may think!

Don’t know what happened before recording so I may have to side with the police at this point. They were not brutal from what I saw. The camera man is not a reliable witness because he stated in the video he did not know what was going on. He should have recorded from the beginning. I don’t think the officer picked this random girl and threw on the ground as stated. Everyone want to blame the police for doing there jobs. All of them are not racist. It’s sad they are tagged because of bad ones. Thanks for sharing there salaries. Quite cool and well worth it.

The guards in the California state prisons have large canisters of pepper spray that can spray in a wide range. One can could clear the sidewalk in a few seconds.
Officer had his hand on the tazer for safety. There was a lot of people. They felt threatened as well people. And for the people that weren’t there and just assumed the cops were in the wrong can’t say anything.

Either way whether the girl committed a misdeamonor...or a crime of some sort that is not the correct way police officers should go about detaining someone, to have her on the floor with her head on the concrete for several minutes with her hands tied behind her back, that's totally on called for.....police need to be better trained in this Country and have more morals and be mentally capacititated to take on the role of to serve and protect....I have many friends and know many people who are police officers and I'm always respectful to them but I am totally against actions of this Nature.

It’s funny how I myself have been stopped by officers before, been questioned and have been in situations where others were being arrested, yet never had to be handcuffed. Hmm, wonder why..Perhaps because I always remained calm and asked Questions in a respectful manner. Yes, I’ve dealt with not so good officers but I listen and then speak. Always helped in most situations, try it. Educate yourself and behave in a civil manner or be ignorant and just another number.

Additionally it is estimated that over 60 million was awarded in settlements outside of court for false arrests. The idea that the police are always correct in thier actions is an illusion. I have been living in CALIFORNIA for 9 years, during these years I haven't even stopped by any law enforcement officials. My question is why she was being arrested for? Not all the officers are bad.

People have to understand if a cop pulls you over or put you on the ground there has to be a reason they’re not going to to put you down for nothing . Do you have to obey the rules and listen to Cops . I work with a lot of cops and there’s always a reason . Half alot people that don’t like cops have been in trouble. Let the cops do their job .
The only time you have to obey an officer is when you told a lawful order.. yes there is always a reason why a cop makes contact with you.. most times revenue.. other times to assert authority.. sometimes wrong person.. wrong vehicle.. wrong house.. the small percentage of time actually legally enforcing laws.. and showing up at emergencies.. even then after making sure people are ok.. if they even do that.. they revert back to training.. arrest.. revnue.. repeat.. and more than half of my family are employed thru law enforcement.. ask your cop friends what they do when they get a suspicious person call.. since suspicion is not a crime.. ask how they come to a crime when all they have is call for a suspicious person.. 9x's outta 10.. i bet they told that suspicious person they needed to see i.d.. that person refused.. (which you can do until you are lawfully detained.. and told what crime you have been accused of committing.. again suspicion is not a crime.. thus you do not have to identify..) they probably stated well we are investigating a suspicious person so you have i.d.. (again no you don't).. most times the person probably refused again.. so they were arrested searched and belongings siezed illegally.. turn the t.v. off from cops.. open a copy of the constitution and read every word.. look up supreme court rulings and then you will find the truth.. and just in case you didn't know.. law enforcement can lie to you.. and they will so they can get revenue and bonuses.. please.. please.. take the thin blue line rag away from your eyes.. only then will you see and accept the truth.. yes it can be a hard pill to swallow..
