This song is fantastic. The lyrics are simple yet poignant, and honest and direct. I love the Retro vibe of it too, like something out of an 80s movie with John Cusack. 10/10, T&S continue to get better and better.
In 2011, I first discovered T&S and I instantly fell in love. They're music has always intrigued me :) I got my sister Bailey and cousin McKenna into T&S too, and together we were obsessed! And then in December of 2011, McKenna, my aunt, my grandma, and my uncle were in a bad wreck. My grandma died and my aunt (McKenna's mom) was in the hospital fighting for her life. McKenna had a broken leg but was otherwise ok. She stayed at my house and we just listened to T&S to get through the days

It’s strange how life works. How it just kinda flows like water. How we kinda flow through this life like water. One minute I was 9 years old in the backseat of the car, looking out the window as this song plays and the wind blows. Not much on my mind but McDonald’s nuggets lol. And the next, I am 19 and miserable and the only thing that’s mostly on my mind is a person...that I want to come closer...and McDonald’s nuggets. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time. I’m not happy these days. But other times, I would stay in this timeline. I kinda like the current me. I’ve changed. For the better or for the worst, I’m not sure. I change everyday. The child I was 11 years ago is buried somewhere with the person I was 7 months ago.. I’m not sure who I am right now. And I’m not sure who I’ll be in 3 days from now...but it is strange how life works. I hope whoever happens to read this, you will flow through this life with happiness and joy. I can honestly say I am a fan of many different genres of music that are out these days but the first thing I said to my sister, who is another 80's baby was "this song is musical genius" and "HAS AN 80's FLAVOR" . So yes, Kristen, u are right on! Sierra is way off and out of touch as 80's music is and has been a main stay in almost every club for 30+ years....

I was only five at the time, but i had an ear infection that made half of my face paralyzed. They used to ask my mom "can we see your niece that can't smile right" haha they are really awesome people though, just went and saw them in concert a few months ago and they knew exactly who I was. :) They are still great friends with my aunt as well. :)
