@Ben Plays VR: I don't know if you are aware of this, but you are currently the best source for "Skyrim VR" mods on UA-cam. Most mods for Skyrim SE don't have documentation regarding how well they work in VR. As you surely know, in these cases, the process of determining whether a mod works well in VR is time consuming and realizing a mod breaks in VR halfway through a playthrough can be a major pain. All that to say, you do the Skyrim VR community a big service with these videos and I think you have an audience that looks forward to each new vid. Cheers!
Well it is one of the few vr games with good replayability. Even for people who played the non vr version for hundreds of hrs already xD Only other game I play more than skyrim vr is Beat Saber.
Have you tried voice recognition mods? I highly recommend trying "dragonborn speaks naturally" + "dragonborn unlimited" mods. With those mods + VRIK holsters i don't use weapons and spells menu at all, i just change my active spells with voice and pretty much never have to pause the action, it's super immersive to play without pauses for menus, and using spells and shouts with just your voice feels amazing, you can also mix those with MageVR gestures to your liking.
Unfortunately there is really no good voice recognition even Samsung and Google fuck up constantly So it's too inconsistent for an enjoyable experience
These are some of the most helpful videos out there, everytime I want to mod Skyrim VR, it gets overwhelming and I just end up not wanting to. You direct these vids so well and they're so easy to follow that it motivates me to begin the process of downloading whatever you say haha! Thanks man!
Just wanted to chime in and say your Skyrim VR Mods content has helped me improve my experience in Skyrim VR IMMENSELY! Thank you for enabling me (and I'm sure many other people) to have as much fun as you do in Skyrim VR!
Nice video! I think you should add Forcepull VR to the list too as it adds in the gravity gloves mechanics from HL:A but most importantly physic interactions. Its not out on nexus yet (I don't think) but its highly underrated for what it does. I found it on a youtube video, downloaded it and it works perfectly (albeit with a couple of annoying bugs)!
y'know, i wish there was a sort of mod that takes the form of an item and what it does is essentially just reskin your preferred hand with one that holds a nice, simple-looking, purely cosmetic wand, and have it project all spells from it. i'd love to play skyrim vr with spellsiphon's features being played with using a wand.
This is awesome can’t wait to try them. I started playing this again just recently .i played through on psvr and bought it again for pcvr took me a bit to get use to room scale but today I fought my first dragon wireless what a blast !
When you walk up or down stairs, I realize that the height position changes suddenly with every step you are taking. I find that very uncomfortable in VR. Is there a mod that smoothes movement?
what a great video. I had the rift s for a few days over 14 months ago and did not like the Playroom Integration due to not using the Steam VR fully. Also it did not fit my head. I am a tall person I guess but thin so I might have lost in the gene lottery xD. So now after getting a better PC and finding my 3rd great deal in 2 years for tech. I am now getting a Vive 1 with deluxe audio this week. I hate modding skyrim because I never 100% the game. I just find other games that take my time and I just need a paper map, weapon mod unique uniques, more weather, sounds like talking and wildlife etc and animations. I need to see the embassy mission
Thanks again for the lovely content! I have a question about the Reverb G2, which seems like the first "VR GEN 2" improvement of sorts. Does it add anything to the Skyrim VR experience? During your review, the Skyrim VR footage seemed a bit vanilla, perhaps due to the increased resolution demanding that you lowered the settings. For a bit of context before you answer, I must tell you that Skyrim VR is MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME, and the main reason VR is my gaming platform of choice. I currently own a PSVR (where I started playing Skyrim VR) and a Gen-1 VIVE that I run on a GTX 1080. What I mean is, Skyrim VR would be the main (basically only) reason why I would upgrade my VR gaming setup.
Played it yesterday the first time in half a year or so, was really fun but in the meantime getting used to other games with proper physics that's what I'm missing the most in Skyrim VR. Swords bouncing of shields and things not going through each other.
@@maxinac Thanks! It got a number of updates recently according to the Skyrim VR subreddit, so it might be worth another look. Glad he's covered it before though!
We have a huge wave of new vr players coming in sense the Quest 2 launch.. can you do one video of all the Skyrim VR mods you use?🙏 Thanks for all the great content Ben!
I just fixed my PC and SkyrimVR runs much better do you have a mod list that you use? I'd love to just grab a list you uses and port them over to my game. Thanks for the great video
I'm binge watching your series and downloading all of these mods right now. Quick question - Does Cities of the North replace other city overhauls rending others incompatible? Or does it work together with the other city overhauls?
Thanks! COTN will replace any overhaul of the same city. So my previous Winterhold and Dawnstar recommendations would need to be removed (and start a new game)
when i dive deep in skyrim mods it takes so much of my time, i play the game less in my free time because of it. is there a mod pack accumilated just for skyrim vr? i just want to play the game without thinking which mod i should install or not.
@@BenPlaysVR I would say its defiantly not used as VR SKSE is a different version altogether. I can not see anything on the DAR page about the VR dependencies either. You showed that its working so I take it its not required. But that's odd as the SE version it seems to be required accordance to the mod page. :o/
@@BenPlaysVR Well I just tried it and its working (at this time of writing). I am not using any animation packages that use a ESP, but what I am using is good. Thanks for the heads up as I probably would not have tried this !
@@BenPlaysVR Well, I got the basics just right, but you know how it is when you just see another nice mod, and then another one and so on. Maybe I will try again when I will have a time and a will. Also, how do you cope with the 45deg angle on walk-able hills? The road to Winterhold felt so weird for me. It was fine in flat screen but it is so bad in vr.
I can't get over the flat lighting and overall unrealistic feel of Skyrim, plus the lack of proper physics when it comes to sword combat. Any mods that can fix these issues...
Enbs and elfx should help with lighting and feel. You can make it much less realistic like fantasy or you can make it as realistic as possible with different enbs. Look into some combat mods too, everybody seems to have different preferences.
If you get Midwood Isle, then I recommend this VR patch, it fixes a weird bug: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/43442

I played soooooo much flat Skyrim... Then I started up Skyrim VR last year and can never go back.
Skyrim has to be one of the best VR experiences currently available! Your mods guides are great, I never would have found half of these!
Thanks to the modding community it is
Keep this series going Ben!
I just love playing Skyrim VR modded :)
I picked a perfect time to get into the Skyrim VR modding scene. Love these videos Ben. I can't wait to try all of these mods out for myself.

Thanks! My wife’s sewing machine makes voice mods challenging. So I haven’t tried them much 😁
Adding these to my mod order immediately. Fantastic suggestion!

I just reinstalled Skyrim VR and wondering, if there are any new important mods. Then this video pops in recommended only few hours later.
That is how you know you are not a NPC in RL. Also you left the tutorial on. ;)
Force pull....
HIGGS and Be Seated have both been updated.
Google with the neuropathic advertising on point.
this is a fantastic mod showcase, less than a minute per mod but you explain plenty about each, you show them off, outstanding videos
I hopped on UA-cam for 1 mod video and here I am 4 videos in... all yours. All wonderful. So many mods. I have so much to do ughhhh haha
“SSE Engine Fix dramatically reduces wait time loading”
ad plays and i had to wait 30 seconds
what timing

I second this idea!
GLAD YOURE BACK!!! Love this game
This video may have gotten me over the line in buying this. Thanks Ben.
... Well here we go again, guess I'm throwing away my save and starting over.
For like the second t..- hah, fine, thousandth time.
Thank you so much Ben. I love the DAR mods and didnt know I oculd use them in VR now
Great mods I didn't know about! +1 to keep this series going (Skyrim VR Mods).
