Depends, I noticed Femshep’s voice is better on the emotional scenes, but I prefer Male Shepard on the renegade lines like “The council can kiss my ass”, “it’s a big stupid jellyfish”
Probably like male Shepard voice. It’s so good but female Shep expressions during emotional and intense scenes is probably best. I guess Female Shepard lol. 🤷🏾♂️
I am SOOO glad you picked adept. I've played every class through the trilogy over all these years and biotic is by far my favorite, especially in ME3 and Andromeda where everything is a detonator combo so its biotic explosions galore and with pull and push can throw people around like ragdoll, and of course my favorite biotic ability -maxed out shockwave
As someone that considers FemShep as cannon Shep...my soul is ready. Let's do this! Also, after playing ME2 and 3 and Andromeda, trust me - you will toss MANY grenades cause of reload muscle memory. Happens to all of us XD
I love femshep voice just finished an insanity playthrough, brutal but fun...I started watching your mass effect vids at the start of ME2 so this is new love it
Also I love your vids especially mass effect but have you thought about doing a playthrough of Life is strange true colors...it's different a very emotional game but so well written and the story is great and my personal favorite game for the year....just for thought you know
@@PrivateIdaho That's a classic combo as well. I went with Spacer this time because I romanced Ashley in the first game, and Tali in the second and third. I wanted to give my Shep something in common with his two love interests ie coming from a military family and being born in space. I also loved how you named your FemShep in order to reference something. My FemShep I am naming after a female friend, and my current MaleShep I named "Hiro". Basically I headcanon he is of Asian descent and was named after a Japanese grandfather. Of course outside the game, I simply named him after a JRPG character.
Now you know the order of main plot missions, you can do the stuff you missed last time. Especially Bring Down the Sky mission, this one is certainly worth doing, as it will change your interaction with Balak or another Batarian!
I do like the idea of a Shepard who uses pure Biotics to brutally and ruthlessly rips through the battlefield. Plus if she has Garrus as her boo, he can handle the Tech/Combat. Since I don't really have to worry about spoilers, I'll be a bit more, suggestive I guess? The good thing about 1, Biotics still affect any enemy regardless of them having shields, while in later games you must get rid of any protection before they get affected by Biotics affects (they still damage shields though, just not as much except for the Bonus Power Flare in 3) Honestly, I would suggest spamming Singularity a lot and then just ending them all with your Assault Rifle while they all float helplessly. Also fits with your Ruthless character lol. Overkill is your Assault Rifle power, think it boosts damage and accuracy for a short time. Other tips: Warp is good for Krogans who like to regen health. It stops any Health Regen so use Warp on them. Barrier is useful when your shields run out. Lift is basically Pull, not as useful on a Adept who already has Singularity, but since each power has separate cooldowns it could be your backup if an annoying enemy is hiding and you cant use Singularity. Throw can knock down annoying enemies as well. Stasis locks enemies from moving. Its more useful in 2 and 3, although its restricted to Bonus Powers. And I would suggest Warp Ammo or Flare instead. Since you wont have Tech, always have 1 with you at all times, you need their decryption and electronics skills to unlock many chests and such. And Electronics is also Overload in this game plus increases Shield strength so very useful. Yes, get used to using your Biotic skills they are immensely useful especially in 1. You could literally plow through this game only using Biotics and no weapons, if you wanted. Be careful, unlike in 2/3 where skills auto target and aim, you have to be careful where you aim here. Whatever that marker is targeted on it hits, even if its pure open air. Be careful with Kaidan, the unfortunate thing with 1, is its hard to not romance the opposite sex human member. But if you're going for Garrus, it wont matter even if you do accidentally romance Kaidan. Or if you wanna be loyal to Liara this time, that can resolve itself in this game. Its kinda funny just being a massive bitch to Ashley lmaooo. Then you'll just end up sentencing her to her death.
Thanks for the breakdown! I figured pure biotic would give me the best chance to get out of my comfort zone. As far as romance goes we'll have to see. I do understand why everyone wants Garrus. (We'll probably lean that way). "If" Ashley dies, she'll die a hero. ;)
@@PrivateIdaho Thats good, I just worry you might forget to use them lmao. Yeah him and Tali get great, and I mean GREAT romance content. Liara is ok, but in my recent run with her, I barely noticed any difference in dialogue. Like seriously you almost couldn't tell we were bumpin titties. Boy I do not appreciate this teasing. If you betray me again you know I'll never forgive you lmao
I was so shocked at how much I loved Biotics when I first picked Adept. The recharge times start off slow but when you power up, I felt like a crazy Jedi/sith lord on the battle fields. It’s hard not to pick some biotic abilities after that.
@@PrivateIdaho There is one more choice I hope you make, to make it up to me. (In Dragon Age) But I don't know what to say without spoiling. Just..try to think what I'd do ;) then make your choice after that lmao
Dude it's great seeing you being excited to play the trilogy again. ME1 is by far my favorite of the trilogy, the music and atmosphere are simply unbeaten in the trilogy.
The things you kept throwing were grenades. Left to their own devices, they don't explode immediately, so if you want them to explode before the target wanders away, you have to press the grenade button again, after throwing them. (I believe it's either the X button or the Back button. Just tap it though - if you hold it, you'll just swap weapons.)
@@PrivateIdaho They did an excellent job adapting the books to the show. The writers of the books are very active in the development of the show, so while it's not 1:1 its still very well translated.

(By the way, you didn't state your policy regarding "spoilers and back-seating in comments" for this playthrouh, what do you want us commenters stick to this time around ?).
I made Pandora Shepard. She was a cold hearted monster and I loved every second of it. She made me cry more than once. I finished the renegade playthrough first.
There will be plenty of other characters in the future I can name. I decided against it because I didn’t want to have it interfere with my role playing of the character. 👍❤️
My first playthrough was male standard-shepard (paragon). My second was FemShep(and ever since.. only FemShep). I tried to make my 2. playthrough renegade but I couldn't stick to it on certain points. To make it really a different experience I would have to make oposite decisions. Like no rachni queen, no Wrex.. no Genophage-cure, no peace brokering between quarians and geth for example. And maybe most squadmates dead on the suicide mission. The replacements are very intersting too and hardly anyone ever sees them. But I was just not ruthless enough. I take renegade-actions when they are just badass-stuff. But when it comes to the really difficult topics, the nice Shepard always breaks through. Adept is my favourite class. Especially in ME3.
I just finished my fem Shepard (I had played about 4 times each game before but always as male Shepard) and now I think fem Shepard is the best one. Welcome to the Renegade side of this story!
So now that we're here, who's voice acting do you like better? Male Shepard (Mark Meer) or Female Shepard (Jennifer Hale)?
Depends, I noticed Femshep’s voice is better on the emotional scenes, but I prefer Male Shepard on the renegade lines like “The council can kiss my ass”, “it’s a big stupid jellyfish”
Jennifer Hale by far!
Jen Hale ❤️
The voice acting improves greatly in the 2nd and 3rd games

I guess Female Shepard lol. 🤷🏾♂️
So glad to see a second play through. Cant wait to see you discover all the differences through out the series.
