Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago just got round to fitting it to my S3, wanna say a big thanks for the video man it helped out a lot, the instructions that come with it aren't great! If anybody else is thinking of fitting this, a little tip, use a hairdryer lightly on the end of the intake hose to warm it up a bit and it slides onto the airbox super easy 👍
@@RPHD26 Yeah it seems like there's a slightly better throttle response but I didn't realise how good the sounds were gonna be, I've been going out for drives just to hear it 😂
Agree, great vid. Was gonna fit it myself (also to an S3) but got a deal for fitting that + other bits at the same time. Lucky because even with your vid I'd have prob still cocked it up! 😂 Cheers guys 👍
You might want to refit that with the rubber if you haven't done this already as over time the vibration from your engine will cut through that coolant pipe.
@@callumhalpin46 Mine isnt limestone grey bro! But they do look good - mine is tungsten Silver - but it has that grey look in some lights! Hi. Nice sound pal. What you think? Ramair it's good quality for this money, some other brands are more expensive 🫰 . Any issues with that, heating something like that, or everything works fine? Aprecieted and thanks for video.👍
Hi mate, did you keep the stock turbo elbow? If so do you think I should upgrade that too? And was it easy to get the hose onto the turbo elbow? Btw the intake sounds so good!
Hi bro, I did for a year but literally just changed it last month or so. Got a unbranded one on eBay for £30 - I would recommend going it especially if youre tuned or thinking of going stage 1. It took a but if time trying to get it on but with bit of wd40 it goes on pretty easily!
@@RPHD26 Cool bro! I’ll defo have to get the turbo elbow, and yeah I’ve just bought a 2019 Audi s3 and have ordered the same intake, going stage 1 for sure. Thanks for the advice bro and keep up the good work!
Appreciate it bro! Deffo an increase in throttle responsiveness, apparently they give some extra bhp but who knows. But its the soundssss that come through 🔥
@@georgieporgie7523 I’ve got one yeah bought it second hand for 420, there’s no argument pal, like it said it’s the most popular induction kit and it costs that much so many many people do pay that
Should of also replaced the intake pipe which is mounted on the turbo. The one you connect the red colored pipe to. That also restricts some air. By the way, you could consider putting this OEM part (5Q0 129 849) on your air intake housing or whatever you call it. It will force even more air to your airfilter, since its blocking the engine side of the duct on the drivers side of the air intake housing.
I think I will look into adding the turbo elbow at some point - definitely is restrictive! And that is something I’m looking to do soon! I’ve been tempted to cut out the channel directly in front of it to allow air coming in both sides too but haven’t got round to it. Cheers for the advice 🙌🏼
@@RPHD26 I got that part (GTE plate) to block the engine side of the duct on the drivers side (UK). Also opened the second duct last year. I didnt replace the airbox or panel filter since its a 2.0TDI. The air intake mods made a noticeable difference though. You should really consider to buy that OEM part. It stops unnessary air going to the engine bay, instead it gets forced to the airbox. According to a test, the stock airbox with mods is capable to compete with aftermarket airboxes. Just come across your channel, I’m after getting a mk7 gti myself, yours looks and sounds class mate 👍🏻
Appreciate that man thank you! Get yourself on the Facebook gti / mk7 pages, so useful! Are you planning on getting dsg or manual?
@@RPHD26 I will do, and a manual most likely. I wanted a limestone grey one like yours but none for sale near me at the right price 😅

Do you need to oil the filter?
This fits w Audi A3 2.0t 2018?
Really helpful thanks mate
Did you do a muffler delete??
The rear muffler is still there! At this point of recording I just had a middle resonator delete
those sure are some cute bracelets.. 🩰👛🤣
Are there any negatives that come by installing an intake such as this one ? Can it affect the reliability of the engine and how it runs in any way ?
It can only it improve it as it let's more heat out.
Fits mk7 gtd as well.

I think they use a different engine setup so it may differ. They're still new so not sure if any have been developed yet

total time to install ? and do you have a manual or DSG ?
DSG, you can see it clearly towards the end of the video

Yes I’m base in London.
