The Dutch commentator basically says that the song is medicore 'but the singer has an amazing voice, you'll see'. He was right :)).
Yea, the song has some pretty cheesy lyrics. If it wasn't Celine Dion, I don't think it would have been such a hit.
The lyrics are (kinda mediocre) but the rythm and the production were good (for a 1988 song).
She could sing the phone book.
Celine herself didn't like the song all that much, in one of her biographies, she says she found it to be ''pompous''.
He was right
She knew how to build up a song dynamically with such restraint and tastefulness even back then.
Yep. She build up the song and managed to restrain her voice and kinda play with it so effortlessly...
I can’t understand a word she’s saying and I still love it !!
