Fun fact: this game was made in one week for a halloween game jam. I actually participated in this game jam and competed with these devs (They won 2nd place and a game called "Imaginary" won 1st)

I wonder what it could mean, I’m a Slavic person, but this is the first time I’ve heard about it.
As a little hinty hint, the person that character was supposed to portray was actually asking for forgiveness. However the protagonist took it as them asking to throw their emotions away (Burn your heart). The reason I wrote it in Russian is because the memory is distorted. The main character doesn't care or even want to remember what he said . The protagonist views him as "barely human", hence the non-humanoid portrayal.

I kinda like how the monster isn’t just some generic ooga booga monster, it’s some kind of mechanical hunter. Gives it an in-universe explanation for certain behaviors.

I actually met the guy who made this on a roblox developer server and i played it. It's for a game jam. I asked him if he continues to work on this game after the game jam to make it so the monster doesn't wonder so close to the player at all times.
I love how I can see clear inspirations from "It steals" implemented in this game, whilst still being entirely unique. It's actually making me feel old despite it only showing up a couple of years ago

Intresting... it looks to be mostly blind so you may be able to just walk right next to it although going into lights and making sounds seems to make it kill you hence the ghost hands to balance you just saying in the dark although there only being 2 monsters in a big maze makes this easier than it seems ;(
