The Bee Gees tackled so many different genres of music and excelled at every one. Disco was just a small part of their catalogue. This is from 1971 i believe but I love their earlier songs as well. To Love Somebody, Sweetheart,, Don't Forget to Remember, Massachusetts, I've Got to Get a Message to You...Just a few well worth listening to. They had an album in 1975 called Main Course and every track on it was great. That album spawned Jive Talking, Come on Over, Fanny Be Tender With My Love. Glad to see you enjoy their music. I've been listening to them for over 50 years and still love them.
Grew up with the Bee Gees! Loved them then and still do today! Another good one is run to me!! I remember my boyfriend and I had just broken up and I played this song over and over and over.
If you do a search of pre-disco era Bee Gees hits, you will find many. They were quite prolific in the 60s and 70s, and then their careers re-ignited with disco.
This and Lonely Nights was written when they first got back together (actually brought them together) in one night they also wrote Andy's hit Shadow dancing IN same NIGHT 3 number one hits
The Bee Gees ballads are incredible and covered by so so many other artists. Check out To Love Somebody. The song is amazing. And Keith Urban has a live performance of the song at a Bee Gees tribute concert with Barry Gibb in the audience. It's so soulful and mind blowing!
As a Gen X'er, very young when this song came out, we never forget those artists w/ those beautiful, swoony voices! The Bee Gees were a *huge* influence on our young ears! Any of their hits will surely put a smile on your young heart, @AceTheHeart! 🙂✌Thanks for playing that song!
I'm twice your age yet the Bee Gees were still before my time. Nevertheless, I've been a huge fan of theirs for decades. Their music is timeless for anyone with a soul.
This beautiful song and Lonely Days and Lonely Nights were the first songs written and recorded by the brothers after they reunited after their brief breakup with Robin. Another early 70’s ballad is Run to Me.
For a truly beautiful and underrated song with the heavenly voice of Robin taking lead, please check out the live version of "I Can't See Nobody" -1974 in Melbourne. 🥰 Watch his reaction when security stops a fan from running on stage to kiss Mo ❤
If you are looking for 60s songs 1 Massachusetts, 2 1st of May, 3 Holiday, 4 I’ve gotta get a message to you, 5 New York Mining Disaster 1941 and 6 Words to name a few. Love your reactions ❤ That is a whisper note in Barry’s head voice not falsetto.
I played this record to death when I was 14 or so, a visit from a friend of my Mom's, and her teenage son, from across the country, a huge crush, my broken heart. Need I say more?
The Bee Gees are just classic. They were like 2 different groups from the 60’s to disco but I love both sounds, genre’s. I must say I like the disco better, but definitely appreciate the 60’s style at times. Love your reaction ❤️
This is a top Bee Gees song to me. It's as "early" as I go with them though. Other pre-disco (?) hits that I like from them, "Fanny Be Tender With My Love," "Nights on Broadway," "Jive Talkin'."
I think Barry wrote this song after he and his brothers had broken up as a band. So it's not necessarily a love song. It can be applied to any broken relationship.
Please react to Alive. Mr Natural. They have so many great songs you could react to one a week and it would take you years to get through all of them. This song was written the day they got back together after Robin had left the group for about 18 months. They wrote Lonely Days the same day. They're incredible. I'd be happy to provide you with a list of their songs you haven't reacted to yet.

Love watching you enjoy the Bee Gees...I listened to their music since the 60's
The Awesome Bee Gees!!!!
I'll stay with you as long as you keep doing Bee Gees.... 🙂
If you do a search of pre-disco era Bee Gees hits, you will find many. They were quite prolific in the 60s and 70s, and then their careers re-ignited with disco.
My favorite Bee Gee song is "To Love Somebody" from 1967.
This and Lonely Nights was written when they first got back together (actually brought them together) in one night they also wrote Andy's hit Shadow dancing IN same NIGHT 3 number one hits
Lonely Days and To Love Somebody, great 60's tunes by the Bee Gees !☮🖤🤘

This song always makes me feel like it is giving a nice warm hug.
My Mom got me into the Bee Gees and I just love their Harmonies. Lifetime fan❤ Great reaction as usual my friend and Peace out 🙏 ✌️ ☮️
The Bee Gees. In one word :
Awesome music! 🎶🎶🎶😘👍
pre-disco BG'S. Such a great song!!!
I remember them being on tv as children- so was I. This was when they were in their very early 20s off a great album

Another great pre-disco by them is Jive Talkin'
Yes...the yay is the best part!!!
"Lonely Days" pre-disco Bee Gee's favorite!
I'm twice your age yet the Bee Gees were still before my time. Nevertheless, I've been a huge fan of theirs for decades. Their music is timeless for anyone with a soul.
I absolutely love Barry's soft whisper-like velvet voice. The lyrics are awesome .
in 71, disco hadn't really got a foothold yet. This was one of their warm rock songs. It's a rock shuffle actually.
This beautiful song and Lonely Days and Lonely Nights were the first songs written and recorded by the brothers after they reunited after their brief breakup with Robin. Another early 70’s ballad is Run to Me.
Love your smile

The boy gives his honesty..... And it's great 👍 look into tragedy next it's a banger
Love this soft mellow tune.
Need to listen to Lonely Days!’
My fav Bee Gee song !!!
They wrote this after their 18 month breakup. So sweet & mellow, just how they felt to get back together. 💔💔💔

The first voice you heard was Robin..................... :)
You should do the live version so you can actually see who’s singing what.
Check out 'Alone'. The video has a pic of the three of them in black and white, 4:20...A super high falsetto masterpiece!🔥
Great reaction as always.
Vibrato
I appreciate that. 😁😁😁
This was the first song after the reunion of the Gibb brothers....🎉❤awesome beautiful song🎉🎉
I played this record to death when I was 14 or so, a visit from a friend of my Mom's, and her teenage son, from across the country, a huge crush, my broken heart. Need I say more?
You are not far off on the description of the sound. Not vibration, but I is called vibrato. Great reaction. Thanks
To experience how differently people can interpret the same piece of music, now listen to Al Green's cover. Very different - just as beautiful.

Anything from the Main Course album.
Sorry but those songs that you mentioned were not pre-disco.
@@brucesavage8493 They are for me. But you are welcome to have your own (erroneous) opinions.
thanks, Ace - so pretty.. (sometime in the 70's I think) they also had some great live performances of this.... appreciate your reaction!
They have a lot of early songs this caliber if you look .
If you go look up their album, Here At Last: The Bee Gees Live, you'll get as good starter list of their best earliest songs.
Barry's voice was awesome pre his later incredible falsetto signature voice🎉🎉
👍👍👌

Wow it's beautiful could you please do the baby brother Andy Gibb Shadow dancing thank you shadow❤❤❤❤
They were known for their love songs and ballads. Disco was a blip for them.
The breathy quavery thing is called tremulo.
This is not from the ‘60s. This is from 1971. But you can’t go wrong with Bee Gees from the ‘60s.
The music may sound romantic to you, but the lyrics are about mending a broken heart, so it's a sad song.
Check out some songs/videos from DR. HOOK like "WHEN YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN", "SEXY EYES", "SYLVIA'S MOTHER". They're Awesome!!!
want them from 1963? "I Want You To Want Me" ua-cam.com/video/6Rjvd9ioOew/v-deo.htmlsi=bh6mmxkQwsCwQ37u
Barry was such talented musician...he was better than the Beatles..sorry to say that for the Beatles fans...😅
falsetto begins 1975
I'm a hillbilly HI LLB ILLY but I love this.I love this song here.I'm gonna hail bell.I couldn't lock it
This was three brothers..lead was Robin Gibb..then would go to Barry Gibb and back to Robin
